Very interesting video, Rolf - analysing the longer-term scenario before starting to look for any execution-timeframe trade possibilities ... helps get one’s mindset aligned so we are trading in line with the longer-term context.

yep, I think the preparation of mindset is sth one has to do before going into battle (in our cases: trade), the mental psychology is always on my top 1 to-improve list.

Amazing explanations Rolf! I did notice that currencies tend to move more in a balanced way than stocks in the sense that they try to be in equilibrium, as you mention forex is a mean-reverting market, as opposite to stocks that can be more trending. I'm learning about how to use the moving averages and I wasn't aware of the importance of the 50 MA, gonna incorporate it in my analysis. Thanks a lot for another masterpiece! I don't stop learning from you.

Hey Rolf I was just re-listening to the Tradeciety podcast on Spotify. In I think episode 2 you talk about adaptability. I had a question, but it would be easier to ask using an example: As a hypothetical, did you mean ‘I trade breakouts with confirmation, therefore I don’t care if they come from support and resistance breakouts, VWAP/other MA breakouts, etc. Or did you mean ‘I trade support and resistance with patterns only, but will look for breakouts, pullbacks, reversals, etc.’ I hope that makes sense. Essentially would the first example be adapting to the markets or system hopping? Thank you and Moritz for your content. SO much misinformation out there. I just started using Edgewonk and while I’m currently on a losing streak, I’m noticing so many little things in my trading that could be improved. I doubt my journal would be anything like this if I was using excel or a notebook. Cheers!

It's not. The moving average just shows you the average price
