I can't even imagine what the young soldiers went through and never will. That battlefield definitely showed signs of a lot of activity. Awesome find EE on the 9 20mm Flak 38 cartridges. The German razor looked in pretty good condition. Yes, just imagine that it most likely was the last time the young German soldier shaved. Thank you so much for taking us there EE and HH. 💕

Great that you have the metal detectors out again, and what a huge amount of finds. But as you said, the sheer volume of ammunition and ordnance used there, it must have been carnage. Thanks again for sharing with us.

He is really such a great companion out there and he is having so much fun. Thanks so much from us and be safe out there :)
EE's talent never fails to surprise! Finding those 20mm's was definitely amazing, all grouped together like that. As you say, it is hard to imagine what was going through the minds of the Germans in that location, sitting there, knowing the Red Army was moving towards them. Unstoppable, And then, to be pounded by all that artillery, having chunks of small and large shrapnel flying everywhere. That would have been terrifying beyond belief. Every one of those artifacts is a little piece of history, that falls together to make a much larger, and more impactful, bigger History. Thank you both, for sharing this fascinating, and sobering, location with us. Looking forward to seeing what the next adventure brings us. Cheers to you all! Stay Safe!

Great adventure HH & EE! I assume that this battle was in the late stages of the war, and those German 20mm shells were made from steel at this point in the war? Thanks for sharing, and can’t wait for the next exploration. For those of us with an interest in WW2 history, you provide a lot of interesting information for us to enjoy. It makes history so personal when one finds items like a razor belonging to a young soldaten. Sitting out in the field with a piece of broken mirror - many of us have done this shaving in the middle of a forest on excercise using cold water! I think we should get EE up in a one man drone......he will probably find ATLANTIS! SUPER SCOPEY Eagle Eyes 'WUNDERKIND'! WELL DONE young man.

We enjoy finding all kinds of artifacts out there. Thank for watching.
I wonder if the shrapnel on top of the 20 millimeter cartridges is where that position took a hit from the Russians to put it out of commission? You don’t need a metal detector when you have Eagle Eyes. That young man has the luck of the Irish. Since I’ve been watching your channel, he has been a great contributor to the channel. I couldn’t imagine being a German soldier who felt invincible at the beginning of the war only to terrified at this location knowing that this was going to be your last battle. If the Germans hadn’t been so barbaric during the Russians invasion, many Germans soldiers may have survived these battles. Great metal detecting adventure.

tat could be , i really could not tell. yes EE is a very lucky man when it comes to being out there and finding history. Thanks so much for being here with us :O
You named that area correct; "Forest of Death". I can't imagine how big that fire fight was and how many lost their lives. For the Germans to have a 20 mm flak gun tells you that they were using whatever they could at that stage of the war; equipment and men lacking. Sad overall, but a great find EE on those 20 mms!!! Thanks for sharing this video from then.... take care
