That first story surprised me. It's been a while since I've heard a story of someone being lured away by food. Although, saying that they were of Irish descent...I wonder if that person had Brown hair. It is said that because of how fair the Fae is (with fair skin, light hair, and light eyes) they coveted the Irish who had wondrous dark hair and eyes. Kind of like how a blonde, blue eyed person would get attention in a country with only dark hair and eyes. I've heard some stories at how they would keep the Irish they lured as pets or even as a mate/partner because they were charmed by the Darkness of their hair/eyes.

I just discovered your channel last night and am enjoying it very much. I had my first experience about 6 yrs ago. And now I know that Fairy's are Real and so are Earth Elementals that resemble Gnomes. I live in a little house surrounded by woods and very much a Nature girl. But it's not something I can talk about to my friends or family. They know I believe in the paranormal, my family rolls their eyes lol and some friends believe like I do. But if I told them I see Fairy's and little Earth Gnomes they would think I've lost it. It just isn't something that is talked about around here. And before my experiences I didn't even know what Elementals were. I had been seeing the Fairy's and their lights for a few months but didn't know what they were and hadn't talked about them. Then this women in a paranormal group I was in sent me a private message and asked me if I knew I had Elementals around me, and that the Earth Elementals were particularly interested in me. So it's been an interesting few years to say the least. So finding your channel and hearing these encounters from other people is such a great feeling! The man that cut the tree that was actually a little man was very intriguing. If I had a suggestion for stories it would be these little men. I think I'm going to send you my story of my encounter with them maybe it will help someone like these stories are helping me. Thank you for telling them. You have really helped me. ❤

Lady I don't know who you are but your channel is one of, if not my number one, favorite on KZread. Your voice is super cute and perfect for these stories and it had a magical quality to it. You do an amazing job. I have had some weird experiences myself. But I don't think they would be considered fae. The weirdest thing that ever happened to me was all centered around one... thing. I always thought it was just nightmares and night terrors until one day when I had an encounter in my actual waking life with the entity. I was very young at the time. Ever since then I have been enthralled with things unexplained. I am really into fae folklore as well as the present day ufo phenomenon. I'm guessing you already know this, but there are many tantalizing connections between fae folklore and the UFO phenomenon. I would love to talk to you about this at greater length and to see if you have dug in to these connections. I'm also very curious to know if you personally have had any unexplainable occurrences. I sincerely feel there is truth to all of this. Obviously not in all your stories. Many of them are just stories. But there are many accounts that date back quite a long ways that indicate a sobering reality to the fae. Whatever they are. My email is bwoosh88@yahoo.com if you ever feel like having a conversation. I'd be thrilled to hear from you.

Another fantastic collection as always... I need to read more of the fairy census myself if it has hidden gems like this. As far as themes go, have you come across any stories on shape-shifting fae (for example, fairies who appear innocent at first, but take on more sinister forms when their intentions are revealed), or perhaps fairies of the water such as kelpies or merrow? I feel like those would be interesting topics to look into. But I'll be looking forward to whatever you decide to do next! ❤️

These fairy stories remind me of the Missing: 411 books by David Paulides. I don't know if you've read them, but they are mainly about people who go missing in our national parks, forests, and wilderness areas. They seem to literally disappear into thin air, leaving no clues as to where they went. In the few cases where they are found, they are usually dead, and are either many miles from where they were last seen, in a location they couldn't have got to on their own; or they are found in a place that had been searched several times. All kinds of ideas have been proposed for these strange disappearances, including UFOs and Bigfoot. I wonder if people are being lured away by fairies.

Concerning the first story, you cannot have "wiccan ancestors", since wicca is a young religion created in the 1950s by Gerald Gardner. You may have ancestors who were druids, or witches, or any number of things, but wicca plays no part in any of that.

@@JohnSmith-zk8xp - How would you know if they have the same beliefs or not? The history of Wicca is very well-known, as are the claims made by many of its practitioners. And neither of those line up with what little is known of the actual practices of any ancient people... or even can be known, since most of the real knowledge was lost, having been destroyed by the leaders of the Christian church, early in its existence. And yes, many people these days invent or create "beliefs" that they claim were originally held by someone earlier, even though they have no evidence of it. By the way, "witchcraft" is much, much older than the 14th century, which is the time-period Mr. Gardener claimed the part of Wicca he wrote about came from. ( Many others have both changed and added to that, since then.) One way or the other, most of what the "new age" people and other wanna-bes espouse is nothing more than things they fabricate and pass off on the gullible and unsuspecting, in an effort to either make money, or to inflate their own image. I have seen enough of those in the past 44 years to recognise them when I encounter them. And yes, that's how long I've been studying religion, the history of religion... and witchcraft. * tips hat * ᛒᛖᚹᚨᚱᛖ᛬᛫ᛃᛟᚢ᛫ᛏᚱᛁᚠᛚᛖ᛫ᚹᛁᚦ᛫ᚦᚨᛏ᛫ᚹᚺᛁᚷ᛫ᛃᛟᚢ᛫ᛞᛟ᛫ᚾᛟᛏ᛫ᚢᚾᛞᛖᚱᛋᛏᚨᚾᛞ᛬

I have the PDF download of the census, and as far as I can make out it only identifies the encounter as being in the US. Granted it probably was not in my part of the USA, but the _"Great Dismal Swamp,"_ located in N.E. North Carolina {not too far from where I live} and S.E. Virginia has forest fires from time to time. AFAIK the last was in 2011. According to the census that 'encounter' occurred in 2010.

I think I have noticed this in the past on other YT channels, and you yourself have commented in at least one video of folks not receiving notifications of your new videos. And I have the _bell icon_ for your channel set to *_"All "_*

“Child of The Wilderness; Born into Emptiness; learn to be lonely. lean to find your way in Darkness. Who will be there For you? Comfort and care for you? Learn to be lonely; Learn to be your one Companion. Never dreamed out in the Word, there are arms to hold you. You’ve always known, your heart was on it’s own. So laugh in your loneliness, Child of The Wilderness. Learn to be lonely. Learn how to live Life alone. Lean to be lonely, Live can be lived, Life can be loved alone” -“Learn to be Lonely”, sung by Minnie Driver (La Carlotta) during The Credits of The Phantom of the Opera (2004)

Fairies abroad would be cool, I'm pretty sure the census has stories from other parts of the world and it's interesting to see similarities and differences between cultures. Stories about non traditional fey would be good aswell as they can stretch the viewers interpretation to include beings that they would have never considered fey. After all, pixies, glowing orbs, elves and gnomes get really boring after a while imo Since the summer holidays are starting soon maybe you could bring back the bestiary but themed around holiday and tourist destinations to encourage people to explore which could potentially lead to more stories for you! Maybe even a darker video every so often about missing reports + stories possibly involving fey?

Why are Fairy stories always scary? Seems like there's a conspiracy against them, to me.

I am a lifelong fairy lover and totally get the desire to feel as though I am part of the magic, but just a note for the first author..Wiccan is a spiritual path, like Christianity. You may have someone who practiced Wicca in your mom's past, but it's not genetic, like being part Irish. But the cool thing about that, is that you can choose to practice Wicca as well, if it calls to you!

Trapped on earth after they die once they taste the fairy food. Only a warrior with fairy connections will help them escape the fairy grip. And, yes I'm rewatching your videos .

Good stories indeed, but I suspect most of them are creepypasta, and not true events. Only the story of the woodcutter struck me as likely true. The final story, of Mia and the cabin, has me intrigued, but I am undecided. The rest seem... concocted, by people that have read up on fairy lore. It is almost more convincing when the supposed experiencer knows little of fairy lore, and yet still encounters it. It lends a purity and veracity to the story. Just my two cents.

The Fairy folk in the first story have a poor command of Irish Grammar. Slíocht na h-Éireann would never be said "Éire slíocht."

@@ScaryFairyGodmother well it seems like one of those indie games, they make Black Sabbath jokes so they must have indeed used the same free sample! I’ve been watching your channel since yesterday and it’s a step up from the usual stories I check out because you know what it is instead of just never looking into it, I’ve listened to two separate deep wood scary videos that both happened to have people getting messed with and scared off by three weird supernatural women, also have you heard the encounter with one of these beings that kickstarted the career of Black Sabbath, gifting Ozzy a book a runes, Geezer took it and then it got taken back by a sleep paralysis shadow person with red glowing eyes, next morning book was gone.
