Pakistan is the land of love respect and hospitality

Also at the Mosque the tall parts on the side of the Mosque are called Minarets and the writings on parts of the wall are not in Urdu but Arabic verses of the Islamic holy book The Quran. No pictures, etc are allowed on Mosque interiors or exteriors. Hope this helps.

I am a Pakistani and the whole "Why they had to pay" thing is kind of surprising to me as well, never in my life i have witnessed this but again, they were not charged to enter the Mosque nor for roaming around where anybody will roam when they come to offer the prayers. They were actually charged for getting to the top of the mosque and by the looks of it, that has to be a restricted area in the first place. Nope, this isn't something practiced religiously in Islam. I would rather say it was a quick buck making for that oldy WHICH IS SOMETHING I DON'T APRRECIATE AT ALL.

@@commodusmeridius4718 I think they take that money for mosque'S charity fund,That money they used to help poor people's.don't be serious it is all about to collect money for charity fund,that they also collect in Friday prayers.

Wow!!!!!!! The view at the top was different perspective of the city.

This pollution is because of india burns alot of fields across the border that covers up the atmosphere of india and pakistan in winters. Also there is uncontrolled number of vehicles causing enomous air pollution by emitting harmful gases. Otherwise the air quality of *whole pakistan* besides Lahore is great for normal breathing.

@@emailtojanjua1 yes both countries should take green initiatives to protect the atmosphere. They should cultivate more plants and trees in cities so it would rain more and often so ultimately cleansing of air would take place naturally. Also there should be environment friendly vehicles and they can work on alternatives system to clean up the fields rather than burning.

@Random Viewer Wastes can be used or recycle.......it can be used for production of electricity, also in manufacturing of furniture or a source of burning materials ....can be used in making bricks, cooking food ....

Ohhh must say a week was never enough to scour the main Lahore specialities.I think you should have planned visit to Defence Y,Z block Lahore(the most posh town in Lahore),Bahria Town,Liberty Market,Emporium Mall,Gulberg Galaria,Packages,Race course park and should have tried Muhammadi Nehari,koozi Haleem,Liberty Shawerma and Dahi bhalla and also Mcdonalds in Defence Y block park. Lots and lots of stuff left unexplored but you will need minimum 2 to 3 weeks to see these places. May be next time you can try these places and foods. Looking forward to you journey to Islamabad. Visit Shakarparian,Blue Area,Faisal Mosque,Melody Park,F6,Jinnah super,Margalla Hills there..... All the best folks. You should have been gone to Bahria Town Lahore where you will see a lot including eiffel tower. There is bahria town in islamabad too, must go there, there is statue of liberty too.

Rickshaw/tuk tuk driver was correct. The main flagship Avari hotel is at Mall road near pearl continental hotel where you stayed earlier. This avari express in Gulberg as the name itself suggests is one of smaller branches of the chain.

The money paid is used to clean mosque and for renovations. A lot of these old places are beginning to crumble and need to be renovated which costs a lot. So your donations really help the upkeep of these places.
