I mean I’m speaking from a point of view that regardless of our opinions etc they are going to stick to their beliefs, of course we see it from a hygienic perspective there’s all sorts of contaminants, I remember reading a article about how the Ganges is contaminated by the ashes of the cremated bodies as families sprinkle their ashes into the Ganges.

That part of Ganges looks clear enough and it's fast moving....after saying that I still don't think I'd be brave enough to drink it 🙈🙈

Ganges is the worlds most polluted river but I must say , this part of it was the cleanest I’ve ever seen it. Normally dead bodies , decomposed carcasses and filth is floating about. Those long slabs around the edges are for burning bodies and then throwing the ashes , bones etc into the river. Looks like they don’t use this part.

Drinking it after so many people have had their arse init!

Genuinely shouldn’t have drank the water, im British pakistani not that it even matters but its not even about hate/religion or any discrimination… its one of the worlds most populated rivers…. Yes it’s sacred to the Hindus for their own religion purposes we can respect that however coming from sunny glasgow like myself can imagine our immune systems wont be as strong.. As stated from google and common knowledge “The untreated sewage dumped into the river, industrial waste, agricultural runoff, remnants of partially burned or unburned bodies from funeral pyres, and animal carcasses all contribute to polluting the Ganges.
