Looking for the situation: Can an American citizen with (only) a foreign driver’s license drive in California without an IDP? There are some rental companies that require an IDP even though the state you are in doesn’t require it.

International driver's license will place u in the public still I'm thinking because you have to use you U.S drivers license to apply.

Well how would you go about getting one if your in the US already have a license put you want to go private ?

go to the fmcsa website and get application check off private travel... or create your own trust n private one or international IDP

I was de ported because of 3 DUI.s 30year later I come back whent DMV they sent me to path ways pathway didn't accept me cause the K2 didnt have persentish of alcohol in my system they asked me to go to mandatory... Can't get threw with them answering machines I am stuck what do I do

This has been my worry for some time now. I am in a citation now because the office said I was driving in maryland with a European license. He said “ you are not allowed 🚫 to drive in America with a European license” I told officers 👮‍♀️ I am a tourist and I have been here only 3weeks and yes I am allowed to drive as a tourist. He gave me an attitude, was very mean. Then took my car registration alongside my license and came back with a citation. Saying ( driving without the authorized license). What do I do?

My suggestion: Go to the Maryland DMV website, find where it says that you are able to drive with such type of license, print it and then go the citation with the supported documents.

The roads are public and anyone can use them with private or state or federal plates... or none at all even... however if you admit to living here as a resident of the State then they expect you to have their plates but all roads are public.. they issue tickets and let the judge sort it out they are road pirates

Are you familiar with the USdot plate with trust marked on there? Can this be used along side with this license ?

So yes but many places may not be familiar with it and might look at you funny... but there is no law required to purchase a vehicle and you have to have a lic. Only to drive...

Yes.. the roads are public and open to all... tho if you declare yourself a resident and live within their paper corp for 6 months... while out driving a cop stops you they may say well you need to get a state lic but theres no law requiring this..

Yes but the postal package and mail possibly might not make it there as many do not often use the old routes and know how to properly use them

As long at the company says yes you are good shouldnt be anything against it as long as properly trained.

I have European truck drivers license, B, C and CE category for US that would be CDL C, B and A class and ,y license is not valid to work as a truck driver, they say must completely retest for C and make to pass A class.

@@thebadwolf hay man to tell you the truth I'm guilty of saying it in the pass as well. As i grow as a person I learn every day and I try to apply what I learn as often as possible. As you stated old habits are hard to shake. I often have to say to myself "what did I just say" and correct it. No one is perfect. 😃 I love your contents. It was a great video.
