I love ForeFlight. This represents a HUGE weight savings for pilots and ensures you ALWAYS have the right plates and info to fly anywhere in the country. I'd call this a must-have for every pilot.

I have a Samsung S8 Ultra tab. I would love to use Foreflight if I didn't have to buy an iPad first.

Excellent episode Dan and Christy. I have the Pro Plus plan, and love it. I am still learning how to use it, but it has been a welcome addition to my PPL training. Great interview. I love ForeFlight and appreciate all of their frequent updates. The only thing I would change is the weather radar. The old radar data provider was leaps and bounds better than the current one. The radar data is often out of date by up to 15 minutes. Hopefully they will find a new data source or renegotiate with the old provider!

I use Foreflight since 2010. Great product even though it got quite a bit more pricey I think it’s worth it.

ForeFlight is the best thing to happen to GA in a long long time. It is super inexpensive for the power as well. I use it almost daily.

only thing that i havent got working yet with foreflight is getting traffic data in the air from the dynons that are in the plane. I get the weather but not the traffic... the one thing i would LOVE in there is a set of calculators for things like winds, fuel unit conversion and all that sort of stuff.

I was a Garmin pilot users for years and then moved to Foreflight last year and it was a gamechanger.. I even swapped to Android to Apple so could get the full features on my phone.. Before i would have to plan via rocket route... file via EuroFPL then copy to garmin pilot.. Now i can plan file and then send to avonics via my Iphone .. Just bought the apple watch to complete the package

I have had Foreflight since 2008. I bought an iphone specifically to use that program. Great technology! I am looking forward to trying out the watch feature.

Does Foreflight include the garmim Mach 1 D2 watch as part of the compatability agreements with garmin?

It would be awesome if ForeFlight release, short time subscription like 3/6 month on so, but overall I still love the app.

i’m buying foreflight as a present for myself after i pass my private checkride. i just started and i’m documenting my training in this deadly texas sun. i almost threw up once 😂

I'm upset they don't have android support. I have FF on my iPad but having it on my phone would be great, it's not enough to get me to switch to an iphone

I have two questions. Does the logbook tracker feature come with the "Basic subscription" of foreflight? Second question, is there a way that foreflight can integrate a CO2 detector/warning mechanism? Maybe via the Stratus?

If the device supports it (Sentry and Sentry Plus for example have built in carbon monoxide detectors), Foreflight can display an alert if levels get to high.

You should also support Brazil; big market here!

I keep checking for app updates on my iPhone and in the apps list for the Apple Watch…no joy. When was the Apple Watch ForeFlight version supposed to be released? I figured since he was announcing it at AirVenture it would be…during AirVenture. 😅

Probably not gonna happen, to be able to work on android, they would have to meet the lowest common denominator, the graphics will have to come way down in quality. And though a large percentage of the market may not be on an iPhone, pretty much every pilot has an iPad.

@@TakingOff ...and yet Garmin Pilot seems to do it perfectly, so that kind of trashes your argument. The graphics quality scale to whatever device is in use. I use Garmin Pilot on my iPad AND on my Android phone, it works perfectly on both.

I’m not familiar with Garmin, I was going off of what a software engineer for the third place. EFB told me a couple years ago. I’m willing to admit I may be wrong. If Garmin can do it for both, then you are correct and that it blows my argument out of the water. In which case, I just don’t know why they don’t do android then.

ForeFlight has no plans for an Android version of ForeFlight Mobile at this time. ForeFlight Mobile EFB runs exclusively on Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini) for the best user experience.

Want international growth? How about an Android app? Yes the US is mostly iOS but there are a few of us (weirdos) and especially foreigners use who Android and there's nothing available for us. Hate having to use an iPad when all my other devices are Android. Thanks!

WHY NO ANDROID APP!?!?!?!?

Just about the only thing I don't like about Foreflight is it runs on iPad, which is not a very robust device. I think we've all experienced an ipad overheat/screen dimming/shutdown at a really inopportune moment. So...my #1 feature request is better hardware. Garmin has solved this, of course...but Garmin Pilot stinks compared to ForeFlight. So...I either get good hardware and crappy software or good software and crappy hardware.

FlyQEFB is pretty good too.

Even as a simmer, I have used ForeFlight integrated into Microsoft Flight Simulator. In that environment, it has become a little too pricy. I have wished that they would have a sim only version.

Fore flight: Pick the consumer you want. Choose me, the low time GA pilot, who LOVED your app 2 years ago, OR the everyday pilot, that flies commercially. I don't think you can have both.

I’m a GA pilot. What on earth do you not like about them? What are they doing to alienate you? All features it’s had for years it still has. Only additional stuff to make it even better
