fordson major
first start of a 1963 new performance fordson major.
weather seized and not started with 20yrs, had diesel soaking in the cylinder bores with the last three years to free it out

Great old tractor I was ploughing fields in Ireland at a very young age and don't regret it, it helped mold me into hho I am today. I pity today's youth no grit.

Yes, me too! I did many hours driving one hay making, ploughing etc when about 11 year old!
There’s something about a major you can’t beat.

Amazing video fordson majors are best tractor for starting 👌😎🚜
She's running well fergal
I yust to harrow and roll gallops back in 1985 with a major ...very fast tractor on the road ...slow to start in cold weather.... light news papers and stuff them in to the air filter .. swing her over an a way she go...but that tractor the one in the video ....the worst iv ever seen with rust...i was working with a guy back in 1995..putting majors to geather for export Africa.. keep some very good ones.. sold on hear in Ireland...on the button first swing....sorry lever... helo from Ireland.. happy Xmas... stay safe...
Yes, a super major, they were good starters, I remember starting one with a rope around the pulley when the battery was tired !👍

Starts immediately, no pulley on mine.
Our first family tractor was fordson super major 1964,.
Runs very nice with no oil smoke. Tin work is amazingly rusty tho.
if it is a 63 then it is a super major and you can see that from the vertical lines at the front, and the regular major is only built up to 58
On a cold day in Ireland you would have to literally light a fire under the engine to warm it before trying to start it.
Spray the whole thing with diesel and oil mixed and stop that rust.
Impressive
Respekt!Nice Job!
I have a Fordson as well. Great tractor. Spend some money on the poor girl and get new sheet metal from Agriline! Such a shame when it still has the will to run!
