Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I continue tackling my water leaks by sourcing and installing some new door seals. In the process I also discover another rust hole to repair. Much more to come, stay tuned. Thanks for watching!

Thanks mate! I use vactan mainly, but have also used cortanin F and they’re both pretty good and affordable 👍🏼
I`ve just bought myself a Mk6 Transit van which has been converted into a camper, it is a MWB, it has a generous size shower/toilet pod, small space for a double bed, a night heater which I can`t seem to figure out, so KZread help me out. cooker, sink and a captains seat. I will be replacing the centre propshaft bearing and sorting out a very strange temperature gauge activity, the gauge shot from normal to the red in a split second then the engine goes into limp mode then after a few seconds the gauge returns to normal and the engine revs up and away I go, i`ve been told it may be a naf thermostat, sensor or waterpump problem, I don`t know where the sensor is for a start so i`ve ordered a Haynes manual which will arrive next week. If anyone reading this knows of my dilemna please feel free to advise me.
Great job are the door seals okay as I have just ordered some for my transit as the driver’s side is perished but doing both sides anyway take care keep up the good work. You are better off buying new door seals than second hand ones

Cheers mate, they seem to be pretty good! They have a good seal all around the door. Only time will tell 👍🏼🤞🏼
Hi. Question none related to your vid. Is it OK to flush the radiator without heater blower working!? Reguards.
@TurnersWorkshop97

Hi, I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t be. What exactly isn’t working on the heater blower?
How easy is it to spot weld? I want to start cutting the rust out rather than using body filler. Did you do a course on how to weld, or just give it a go?
@TurnersWorkshop97
2 жыл бұрын
I have been on a course for welding a few years ago but it’s definitely something you can learn by trial end error with a mig welder. Will save you a fortune in repairs doing it yourself in the long run. Just make sure you invest in a decent mask that auto dims 👍🏼

I’ve been asked about this a fair bit so I will probably make a video covering this in a few weeks or so 👍🏼
Have you any update on how your underseal is working on the Transit interested to see if the Hammerite direct to rust is holding up ? Cheers J

I can do an update video in the future, so far so good. Can’t see any rust forming through the paint but hasn’t been on there long enough to say really. Thanks for your comment 😁👍🏼
What mig welder do you have and would you recommend it for someone starting out welding?
@TurnersWorkshop97
3 жыл бұрын
I have a wolf 140x gas/gasless mig welder. It’s my first welder and great little welder for beginners in my opinion. I’ve only used it as a gasless welder since I’ve had it, using fluxcored mig wire and it takes some getting used to but does the job 👍🏼

@@TurnersWorkshop97 Thanks for the reply, do you think it would be worth getting a gasless one then because I noticed the gasless ones are cheaper?
@TurnersWorkshop97
3 жыл бұрын
The one I have was good price and does both gas and gasless, you just have to change the polarity inside the machine to switch between👍🏼

@@TurnersWorkshop97 Thanks, keep the videos coming, I have a MK7 Transit so I enjoy watching your videos 👍
What make/model welder do you use? I have some welding to do on mine in the near future
@TurnersWorkshop97
Жыл бұрын
I currently have a wolf mig 140 which is a great starter welder but if it’s something you think you will get into, it might be worth looking at something abit more substantial. I’m currently looking at the Rtech mig180 as an upgrade, more expensive but highly rated 👍🏼

@@TurnersWorkshop97 also do you use the welder gasless or with gas?
@TurnersWorkshop97
Жыл бұрын
I use gas less at the moment but will be switching to gas this year as its neater and easier to get on with 👍🏼 flux cored does the job but it’s not as clean and takes time to get the welder set up right. Flux cored is great if it’s just a little patch here and there
