Just activated navigation by following your video and it worked :). Many thanks for sharing your knowledge and publishing this video. I bought pre-owned vehicle and dealer told that vehicle never had navigation hence it would be expansive to have this feature. I was able to do it very easily and economically through this procedure. Thank you once again.

I followed your video and it worked on a 2016 f350. I tried following a couple other videos but yours is hands down the best and I actually got navigation to work thanks to you!

Did my focus RS mk3 yesterday, great detailed instructions and so easy to follow. Nice one.

Thanks for the video, I was about to spend $800 on eBay for a navigation radio unit from the wrecking yard. But it seems they can all show Navigation with a program update, software change, and the map SD card inserted. I suspected this was the case with the SD chip map reader already in the glove box. Ford doesn't include extra parts that are completely useless, so it CAN be updated for navigation with the right OBD tools. Cheers mate! (Yank from the US) 👍

I have done everything on the video. It asking the sd card but when i but it in nothing happeen. Do you know were is the problem?

i bought the package deal from MAS AUDIO and i must say it was a pleasure doing business with them, I'm not very technical and I had a couple of issues that they were able to assist me with in my opinion it was well worth the money and they were on hand to help me every step of the way. Hi, Firstly thanks for this awesome walkthrough! Managed to get the upgrade in no problem. Secondly i was wondering if i can change the voice command from an american accent to an English accent as it now refers 'mobile' as a 'cell'. Mild inconvenience but would be good to know. Cheers 👍

Hello! I have done everything in order, i had 3,10 on my c-max 2015 already installed, i changed that one number in forscan and then the letters on the top changed to navigation. I have installed the png patch and applyed it, it said navigation on. Then i have reseted sync and after it loaded i put the F10 europe navigation in sd slot. It says insert navigation card and that is it, nothing is loading. Card is not faulty, i have tried to put it in friend's focus 2015 and it is working flawlessly. Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? I dont understand..thank you

Hello great video and the software has updated but after the final step of adding the new wallpaper the Sat Navigation does not come up. Is there a different code for the second block for a Ford Smax 2016 Zetec ??

Best video out there. I need some guidance. After all the procedures were completed on my car (13 Ford Explorer), the navigation version didn't load, but the top right corner says, "insert NAV SD card." I reset several times but no luck.

Hello, as far as I'm aware, all sync2 systems are the same, just different regions. So it should work for you no problem.

I have updated to the 3.10 and tried for hours to get the Navigation to work reading and rereading the forscan forums. Downloading multiple files and it still won't work. I also keep getting an error on sync that it has run out of room or isn't compatible even though I use the same files. I don't know how everyone but me has success with this.

You don't follow directions to well.... Took all of 35 minutes to get mine up and running.

I've downloaded the 3.10 update but my kuga is saying I've successfully update even though it's currently on 3.08

Hi, the forscan software needs the extended licence to access the APIM fuctions and its free on the forum, or you can buy a longer license if you wish for a few pounds.

my 2012 focus would not work with update 3.10

Hi I have 2012 Ford Focus. My Sync module apim was broken and I got used one from same car same year . But the used one doesn’t have backup camera navigation and auto park. So if I update sync software which car vin number I should use to download the file. My own car or used apim- car vin number?

Hi, it doesn't matter because the software is all the same for whichever region you are in, those features will only work again if they are coded into the as built format. Thanks, Mark.

I’ve just installed it using this video as guidance! Really good video. The only issue I’m having is when it asks me to insert SD card I plug mine in and it doesn’t acknowledge it or anything and still asks for SD card. Is that a fault with the one I’ve bought off EBay?

Yes probably a faulty copy.. a lot of people are getting cards of Ebay and they are blank too..

I installed the navigation and it works. However, I have problems because voice navigation is not working properly. It mixes yards and miles with each other, always telling the wrong distances. The information on the screen is correct. Any idea how to solve the problem?Ford C-max with F7 navi maps.

Hi yes it can, it will work on all sync2 units.

As soon as I change the code to 041C it just says checksum error and wont' change

when i try to go into change the line with the forscan it tells me i need to enter licence key to get into the section to change the code??
