Hi Gents, fair review thanks for the video. Couple of items from a fellow Aussie: 1. Ford was nice and put the full vehicle manual uploaded into that big screen. Great tool you can search anything and find what you're after. I recently did this to find out how to change my spare wheel, there was a great how to. 2. To get downhill decent just need to press the physical offroad button behind the 4wd selector, this will give you the screen to select downhill assist or rear Locker. It works great you change the speed via the cruise control on the steering wheel. Far superior than a manual handbrake imo. 3. Water crossings the Ford Ranger has a wading depth of 800mm compare this with a Toyota Landcruiser 79 series is 700mm. Just send it! 4. The WT x does have bigger tyres as standard compared to the lower models this would contribute to fuel economy. 5. What a great all round bakky hasn't let me down offroad. It's currently the most sold vehicle in Australia. Plenty of aftermarket gear out there too!

Normal Ranger wildtrak overall is the most sold right? The X is limited and has limited numbers if I remember correctly. But yes I literally posted all the instructions you've just mentioned lol... I should've read more comments. But basically I agree with everything you said, I'm a proud owner of the X and it's not let me down offroading.

I own one. Exact colour. It’s an all rounder. I am happy I don’t have to go tune or gear up the car for off road and spend upwards of R200K. It’s all standard here and I don’t fear the wild.

@@howardnyika966 Hi Ranger body is tough and firm and the suspension feels capable too. The touch screen is not my favourite but it works. Apple car play always has issues everywhere. Haven’t noticed anything much with the touch screen. But still early days.

Trial control? Easy.. locate the physical button under your rotating dial, it has a picture of offroad, its basically the biggest rectangle button in the cluster of physical buttons (under park assist, engine auto off disable). Once you select it, the screen in the center will show you 3 additional modes, trail control assist, rear diff locker and trail turn assist. To properly understand and to enjoy this particular car, you must learn it first before driving it especially if you want to offroad it. This ute/buckie in my opinion lowers the difficulty bar for those who are just beginning their offroad journey. Most of the features will not be required by seasoned offroaders, but it will enhance and compliment their skills even more. Im justified with my purchase, and it does everything i need it to do with a lot of room for me to grow in the offroad world.

Gents, ive done a few river crossings already without any issues, the buckie already comes with factory 26mm lift. Dont let the old mentality of fearing electrics deter you from driving this buckie fully. You will be very suprised how capable it is. I have oztent rv3, just put it on the roof... it has a flexible racking system making it easy to put long items up there. Secondary battery? Ford left a huge space specificially for it on the left hand side in the engine bay (looking at it from the front). Unless you have the raptor, you have space for it. Do they build the wildtrak x differently in South Africa i wonder? Cause i notice that your dash is also different. We have the raptor 12 inch dash in Australia.
