Hi just wondering if you can help.i have recently changed my head unit it's work fine however I would like to keep the original CD player is there a adapter I can buy in order for me to do this and where from thanks in advance Keith

Sorry, mate. Even on our kits you would not be able to retain the CD player. We don't have an adapter or anything to sort.

@@vhedia6947 I have seen alot of these android upgrades done to the ranger, but none of them seem to be the factory 8" sync 2 unit.

Yeah we do not have one for the Sync unit yet mate. Keep a eye out in the future

What is the model of the CD player?

Hey, mate. Our head units do not have a CD player. It will not retain the vehicle's CD player (if there is one) Can check our page for more info on the head unit's specs. vhedia.com.au/product/ford-ranger-head-unit-2015-2018-mk11/

do you need to disconnect the battery terminals before doing the dismantling of the head unit from the dash?

Technically speaking yes you should. If you don't the only issue you will run into is the radio fuse will blow
