No doubt and you don't ever slingshot pull, either that old Ford will pull it without ever breaking 3000rpm, taught the line and ease on gas until resistance then keep adding throttle as needed, if dug in like this video shows then try from opposite direction, that way stuck truck driveline thats angled won't work against you, pulling from the rear here likely caused rear axle to dig and could rip it out by slingshotting like this...

Funny all the ford pulling a Chevy comments! I was just at a junk yard and the owner said 80% of his stock is ford's! Truthfully it doesn't matter the make. It's how they are treated and the maintenance is done. I've had ford dodge and Chevy come to my shop with the same problems. Ignorance is ultimately the deciding factor on the prevailing model!

Yep have a 1997 reg cab 5spd manual f150 500k+ miles same engine transmission replaced normal maintenance and tuneup stuff still runs like a champ just some rust and dents.

@@Quint1836 1- Yes the 73-79 F series are the best trucks ever built. 2- No you didnt pull a tractor out of axle deep mud unless it was a fucking garden tractor. 3- 75 was the first year of the supercab. hard to believe/take you serious when you dont even know what you (supposdly) have.

My old 1979 F350 regular cab, 460, auto trans, 205 NP transfer case, 4:56 gears, Detroit Lockers front and rear with 38.5 Ground Hawg's would have pulled that Chevy out of the mud and around for a week. It would also smoke IROC Camaros and GT Mustangs off any red light and bark second and drive when it shifted.

@@wb3161 It was the last vehicle Ford built with a steel dash. That whole era 1976 thru the late 1980's was fantastic for lifted trucks and big block swaps. I live in Michigan and we would go to the Pontiac Silver Dome for a truck pull the whole place would be sold out. That's the America I loved the most. Big truck's with big blocks and big tires is what freedom sounds like rolling down the road. Take Care and God Bless.

I’ve been to Michigan twice to see Henry Ford’s house his museum and his son edsels house at grosse point. Very interesting. I worked at a Ford dealership for 20 years. The greatest thing I’ve ever seen is a complete tour of the f150 plant in norfolk Virginia. From the train bringing in steel and parts to the truck being driven out to the parking lot. Amazing. It closed down several years ago

I don't have a truck used too...had a 2019 Nissan Titan,2019 frontier, 2014 tundra,and a 2011 tacaoma...now I'm driving a big turbo focus ST and it takes a whooping every single day with 115k on the ticker lol...ford power baby if I ever get a truck it will be an Ecoboost f150 or a diesel f250

I didnt know ford labeled a 79 an (f350 4x4) i thought they were f250 single wheels with the dana 60 front axle,i had one of those.. i own two 79 f150 4x4 with the quad shock front ends both with the H2 rear axles(9" limited slip w/3.50 gears) one is 400 auto & the other is 300-6, 4 speed.

Looks like the original Ford Ranger full size truck, I drive an 03' Ford Ranger but the original Ranger is one tough truck especially if it has the 460 engine. I like the classic cool rims on that Ford truck. I own both Ford and Chevy trucks, I sometimes use both of them for hauling heavy loads plus other stuff and both of them get the job done 👍🇺🇸.. Built like a Rock and built Ford tough...

The ford truck was pretty dang cool, but how the heck would anyone expect it to create a miracle?? That dang Chevy was dug in deep like a tick, up to it's frame... The didn't even try digging out the tires... it was buried up to the frame.... You'd need a dang tractor to pull that Chevy out, at least in the situation it was in during the video... And even if the tractor got it out... I think the Chevy would have ended up being a little damaged as it would have been a "plow" for about 3 to 4 feet...

Chains suck for pulling out get a 30 foot HD stretch strap I grew up with chains too
