    From what I have seen in all the video's is the power pack 2 kit is the way to go.. Most of the extra power that is made by that bigger throttle body.. Power gains seem similar..

    Interesting, I just did the power pack two, it's the same thing except without the manifold, but mine came with a procal 4... I'm just surprised you didn't get the procal 4 considering it looks like we did this only 6 months apart from each other. And this is the program that should have come from Ford right from the factory.

    Can someone tell me how to get this tuned correctly? 4 different tuners have not worked out the terrible air surge in 1st gear. Ford will only give me a calibration/voucher unless I re-purchase the Power Pack 3 for $2,000! Bama and 3 different Dyno tuners could not figure it out and now I don't have a reliable 1st gear.

  • @Mustang-Geek

    I understand. I'd talk with a tuner who can use the factory Ford tune as a starting point. Otherwise...the Ford calibration is what you pay for!

  • @Mustang-Geek

    @Mustang-Geek

    Well, but you'll need to update the calibration to compensate for the long tube headers. And it won't be 50-state emissions compliant.

    Outstanding video. Quick question, is there a reason why this kit is only for the 2015-17 and not till the current models? For the life of me I've looked everywhere for an answer, feel dumb for asking as I'm sure the answer is probably simple but, id just like a clear cut answer...

    I'm not sure, but I suspect that the 2018-up intake manifold is already pretty good. The GT350 intake manifold probably isn't much of an improvement over the 2018-up manifold. The do offer a cold air intake and tune: performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9603-M8B It's nice because it's a factory-quality tune so drivability is going to be fabulous.

    I'm in the same situation. Unless Ford Performance has started offering an upgrade, we have to buy PP3 for the manifold and tune. If I do this, I'm gonna sell the throttle body and intake to get some of my money back.

    Same scenario here , I own a 2015 mustang gt with a PP2 and once my runners went out the window on my OEM manifold I was forced to buy the PP3 pack because you need the pro cal that’s married with the kit , unfortunately . But once you purchase it apparently you don’t need to go back to stock because it wouldn’t overlap the current tune on the vehicle. As far as my PP2 I will be selling that kit with precautions that they might need to contact ford performance tech line to see if they can still use the kit and tune

    Why would they go with a corrugated intake for that would cause air turbulence why not a smooth intake?

  • @Mustang-Geek

    @Mustang-Geek

    2 жыл бұрын

    In theory, a corrugated intake actually flows better than a smooth intake tube. The corrugations allow for engine movement, and have zero impact on flow capacity. See also: why golf balls have dimples: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mJeew9p8Xcien7w.html
