They need to put their 3.5 Ecoboost in this from the states, with AWD, make the gearbox faster and add paddles. Then they'd have a legit competitor to big Audi and BMW power wagons. They already sell a massive sedan in the US(Taurus) which is AWD with the 3.5, so it is possible. 7.5 seconds isn't overly fast for crappy fuel consumption.

Nice and beautiful car. The Mondeo looks way better than Passat C-Class oder A4. And the Mondeo is also cheaper than the other three with more serial equipment. And what´s the name of the song?

@derbigpr500 yeah but a Mondeo is quite a bit larger then those two. Especially the Beemer is a lot smaller. Also, nice options on a BMW and an Audi are very expensive so the Mondeo is still the better deal is my guess.

if he wants to accelerate quickly, then he should put the shifter into sport (S) thats what it's for. keeping it in drive will cause a lot of wheelspin.

I have driven a new 1 series sport, dissapointing for it didn't even have parking sensors. An older 3 series (2010 ish) and new 5 series (535). They are all okay, but lack the character and driver appeal of the Mondeo. The Mondeo gives me a great big smile every time I drive one.

Well, the 2.5T is an old engine now, Fords new 2.0 Ecoboost is far more refined than any Audi or BMW equivalent in 2011. I suggest you drive one, it's completely different to the Mondeo of 2008, even though it's 'just a facelift'.

@mrnicktoyou nah that one other guy is fine, hes a bit cocky but funny... by the way isnt that bluetooth streaming available in prettymuch all bluetooth units? i think u can do that on volkswagens for a whle already .. atleast there is smth regarding bluetooth audio there... haven't tried it

@avc een startprijs van 47.000 euro is niet duur? Een audi a4 avant begint vanaf 38.000. Een a6 (die is toch heel wat luxer dan dit) begint vanaf 51.000. Dus in hoeverre is een audi dan echt duur? Vind dat relatief gezien best meevallen (neem resale value van een a6 mee en je bent net zo duur uit wat betreft waarde verlies).

The Mondeo is a really good car. But a manual is more fun for those who like driving. I personally also think it looks great, miles better then any Passat, Insignia, C-class, 3-class, need i go on...?

WANT!!! Most of the great hot-rod wagons are gone from the US. Closest thing to this car in the US is the Audi A4 turbo wagon. This Ford is more powerful and less expensive, and appears to give up little in looks and refinement. BRING IT HERE NOW PLEASE!

Yes, but if BMW or Audi made this equivelant car, you could expect to pay at least 10,000 more for it. Bear in mind this is a very premium Ford.

No, drive a Mondeo Titanium X Sport loaded with all the extras, 2.0 Ecoboost 240ps Powershift Auto and tell me it isn't premium. Oh, you may have to wait a few years, considering you don't even have a drivers license yet.
