I learnt to drive in 1977 in my Dads mk2 3litre Capri Ghia manual (VGA 919R) which was Roman Bronze with cream vinyl roof and tan interior. Dad sold it to my uncle who hardly used it and then he sold it to a local lad who thrashed it to bits. It was still listed on the DVLA website last time I looked but I haven’t seen it since the mid 80s. Great memories of that car and would buy it in a heart beat so if anyone sees it please let me know. Nice video by the way!

Good old Dagenham dustbins. Had a 77 Escort mk2 and 78 Fiesta mk1 (with rubber foot operated windscreen wash) and spent most of my youth keeping the tin worm at bay on them. Capris are nice but suffer badly from tin worm. So bought a Scimitar (breadvan) 20 odd years ago, same engine, better looking imo, easy to look after and far better vfm.
