It's not a 351. it was a 460
"Whats he got in that,a 460?" Yeah..nah thats just that Cleveland breathing, lord above those Cleveland's are something else when it comes to the old mustang world.
Ahhh I miss my old 71 Ram Air Mach 1 with the Cleveland. The tire mechanic smiling as he does the burnout, seeing dollar signs as he smells that smoke, knowing he'll be back in a couple months for another set of tires 😜

But it's funny how, at the end of the video, the one guy asks, "is that a 460"? The other guy says, "yes"....
Nice car. I'm pushing 60 and it's still fun to get sideways and have a little fun.

I’m pushing 70 and still lovin’ the rush.
The Joy and Laughter these machines bring, is priceless and what life is all about!
Hot damn! I’ve not heard a V8 sound like THAT in a very long time, perhaps ‘84?! My Dad, a third generation Ford designer, has my Grandfather’s ‘72 Gran Torino (in puke green metallic) just sitting in his yard, rusting, because he waited too long to start working on it now that he’s in his seventies and he won’t let either of his sons come get it to preserve the damn thing. Every time it comes up, he swears “I’m gonna get to it after I finish (misc project #207)!” My little brother lives nearby and he’s offered to store it indoors and my dad won’t let anyone touch it. He also has a “64 Ford Falcon that we’ve watched change from chrome & navy blue to RUST. My dad’s first car was a ‘64 Falcon that he put a 289 into and had it painted a gorgeous maroon. I can barely remember riding in it, because I used to stand up in the front seat and hold onto the dash, at age 4! He’d punch it and I’d fall back into the front seat, laughing my ass off! Funny how that would appear absolutely INSANE today, even tho *everyone* did it, every day. It would probably make national news if a young dad in his 20’s was pulled over with his 4 yo in front seat, hanging onto the dash for dear life and loving it!

That's AWESOME ! Happy with new tires !!!
Don’t know how many times I’ve watched this vid. Love 72’ Torinos
I had a 70 Gran Torino GT convertible when i was 16. Had a 351 4v Cleveland in it with a shift kit. I painted it primer grey, everyone called me the Shark! Lol what a real sleeper car. I'd smoke everyone in it and had many good laughs in that car
Looks and sounds amazing!
A very healthy cam indeed.
Had to watch this several times.
That's a really good customer. lol Owned a '67 fastback Mustang in high schol that I shoe-horned a 351C 2V w/ a M-21 into and I've never driven a car w/ as much torque as that little Ford small block. I could get a chirp in every gear and at 60 MPH I could drop it into third and break loose, as that little honey had so much potential and would regularly see 8K RPMs - I was affraid to go any higher, but what an amazing exhaust note w/ 1 3/4" headers and a set of glass packs. Too much fun!
One hell of a nice car
my dad owns a 76 gran torino very similar to this one, the street out front my house will never be the same
Wonderful motors, those 351Cs...
I can almost smell the rubber peeling off those tires, an impressive burnout, a show of horsepower, off the throttle, back on the throttle, instant wheel spin... no standing in one spot burning a hole in the pavement like any economy 6 cylinder can do.

Man thats 1 clean torino man. Sweet
Love how you can still hear that beast four block away...
That car is more beautiful than anything that's being made these days. And, the cool factor is completely off the charts.
Nice one.... Good to see a true "no power brake" burn out. I see lot of people holding the brake to do a burnout... Even a mini van will do a burnout if the brake is held down. That was nice!

Ya, burnouts don't really reveal much, they can just be fun sometimes. I got a shitty modern Malibu that isn't even fast enough to get out of its own way, but because of the modern fetish with 6 spd trannies, and FWD to make matters worse, I can't hardly hit the gas in 1st gear w/o the tires breaking loose. 1st gear is basically useless in the car other than to save some clutch wear in the slushbox.
My first 2 cars as a teen in the early eighties were Torinos... 74 and a 73. 👍
The greatest thing is listening to the laughing: The expression of total satisfaction in reaction to a burnout.
The best part about this video was hearing his friends laugh . it made me smile . looks like an Ontario car . my province. Beautiful car.
I think this is my very favorite Ford car ever. Looks and sounds awesome!
I had a 1967 Ford County Squire wagon with a 351 Cleveland in it and it kicked Ass!
Man, that a beautiful machine!!
The tire industry must really love this guy the way he keeps burning off them tires
And THAT, my friend, is how to entertain your friends!
Sweet looking and sounding Torino!!!
Great people I love the blues clues looking shirt guy his laugh is quite wholesome
💪💪💪 yep, thats why we love the clevelands in Australia.
Talk about old school cool 😎
I would take a Torino over a mustang any day I never could figure out how mustang were so popular
Sweetness comes alive ❤
DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT 🥃😎👌
God bless Canada for taking care of Detroit’s forgotten angels 👼
Nothing like the Old Muscle Cars!
stunishing paint job.
The 335 series, 351 C. Big small block or small big block? Kind of a quirky beast. Had huge intake valves, undersized exhaust valves, strangely congested exhaust runners in the heads and a block with relatively short stroke crank and rods, medium cylinder bore. If you could keep enough oil on the bottom end through the installation of oil restrictors you could keep bottom end bearings healthy. One of Fords greatest lies was that it produced 290 -335 hp. Mighty beast of an engine, One of Fords most underrated engines.
The 72 Grand Torino Sport is a Very Sexy machine ! Totally Rocks this color! She sounds healthy..
Wow that pearl paint color is so beautiful on that Torino, sounds really good also.
the laughter makes the video !
BEAST!!! Love it and that color is amazing

64 and still rodding , racing, building engines , transmissions , and third members. Built my friend a Cleveland 5 years ago, near .700 lift solid roller. Aluminum Trick Flow Power Port 225cc heads , matchported Trick Flow intake. C6 trans 4.30 9in rear. In a 68 ford pickup. 7.40 in the eighth, 10.60 in the qtr. At our home track , two chevy C10 pickups ruled the roost. After i built and preped his eng, trans , rear end. It was over for the chevys. That truck went undefeated in truck class for 3 seasons. And I'm a chevy guy. 81 malibu wagon, 427 dart block , AFR headed , roller cammed stroker motor. Oh the Cleveland had a 4 inch stroke crank , so it was a 408.

Wow that sounds amazing.
This is one of the CLEANEST most beautiful Torinos I've ever seen- it almost looks like if Rostislav Prokop designed his version of a factory build. Not over the top, subtle, but enough you know its not strictly factory. As I like to say, "Baby Bear": not too much, not too little- JUUST right!👌
There were a lot of awesome muscle cars back then. Hardly any of them are still around cuz they've all been crashed by people who couldn't handle or control the speed. Which is most of us.
Nice broast. Nice paint job
Never gets old!
Excellent no frills rip....no showboating...just rip...MURICA.
I have a 71 with the Cleveland in it! Beautiful sound!
one of the sexiest cars ever made

Comp cams P/N 32-541-8, and Grind # 290HR This past summer I changed over to s lightly milder cam to improve idle, but regret it. I will change back to a similar grind soon in order get back that sound.
