27k is beyond redicolus. 17k would be top dollar for a very low mileage 11 in show condition.

I'm a truck expert. 45yrs experience. 36 trucks under my belt. I own three special trucks now. The 3rd gen Ranger is with out a dout one of the best trucks ever built. I have a 07 that is right at 200k miles with seven different owners and you cant tell it from new. Get one now. The price is only going up not down.

You guys are acting like 2011 was a million years ago. Make fun of it if you want but it's a hell of a lot better than today's pieces of shit. My 08 Ranger 4.0 4x4 has 423, 885 miles on it and still running fairly strong.

Had a early 2000s ranger back in the day. it was a great truck. mine had the 4.0 engine and 410 gears from the factory in the rear end and had the torsen locker. It would tow up to 5000 lb. no problem and would regularly tow a 16ft flatbed with my built suzuki samurai on it. Typically got 18mpg daily. Was fine for wife and i and two adolescent sons but when the daughter was added it was replaced with a f150. 18 years later and about to be empty nesters and i am back looking at mid/compact trucks.

You’re guaranteed to see one of its productionmates cruising down I-35 in the fast lane with a stack of pallets 15 feet tall… and the pallets won’t be tied down. Yes, I’ve witnessed this. Yes, I gave the genius driving it all of the space I needed.

Mileage Rollback alert, Has a fresh paint job. Underneath these came with Rancho shocks that were white. They would not have removed the Ranchos if it had that low mileage. Should have two hooks in the front. They came new with the 2 inch towing hitch underneath. That is not overspray on the bed. That is part of the plastic liner. Nobody would have painted underneath dark grey or black unless this was a total wreck or high mileage vehicle. I bought this same model in 2011 new and see some things that are not factory underneath. They did come with that receiver hitch and did not have rear steel bumpers. It is is missing the 4x4 flag on the tailgate. I paid about 25k new for it. I still drive it and you really should compare this truck up against one that has never been touched or resold. Again nobody paints their Ranchos. This truck is also stiff as a rock and not pleasurable to drive in 4x4. They do have 4x4 auto. They are electrically engaged by a dc switch. Quit making up garbage that these did not come with a bumper. That was 1980s before you were born. I thought people from Texas knew their trucks.

My 2011 Ranger is almost the same spec as this truck. I love everything about it and honestly wouldn’t change a thing. The Redfire Metallic definitely gets a lot of looks and attention for being an old Ranger.

Looking at a 2011 with the same specs now, and very low mileage. Not cheap, but I know it will last me forever. How many miles in did your timing chain get out? Also did you do any notable mods, like exhaust?

These are great trucks, I have a 1999. But man, Ford was really pushing it making these like this until 2011, extremely outdated all around by that time if you ask me. They should’ve gotten a complete redesign inside & out after at least 2003.
