From a dead stop accelerate quickly, foot atleast half way down on the gas or full throttle, do this a few times, the computer will relearn your driving habits and will engage the cluch harder eliminating or atleast reducing the shudder, you may have to do this every once in a while, hope this helps

i have a 2012 ford focus that shudders and jerks from 1st to 2nd. I'm a working student don't have time or funds to replace clutch. what i did is force a whole bunch of grease into the actuator holes... lol yea the grease actually gets in if you press down with the actuator. white lithium spray grease works too. seemed to have helped the shudders but it does shake around in hot climates or stop n go traffic... ahh i just keep resetting it every once a while... never left me stranded in 6 months so time will tell i guess

I had this issue after getting the recall done. The dealer didn't change the purge valve because they said the codes weren't there. I got the codes checked at a parts place. P1450 was definitely there.

Sorry to hear about that. If they can't help you, Rockauto has a WVE brand for $30. Should be able to find an OEM for $50 or 60

Very glad to have run across you and this video! So many conflicting reports and opinions out there about the shuttering. Is it at all common or normal? I have a very tiny bit at acceleration from a stop sign then nothing else. Thank you for any advice on this. 2016 ford focus se 88,000 miles

I have a 2014 Ford Focus SE and I have the same Codes - P0420, P1450! There was a recall on these but ford won’t do it no more!!! The P0456 Is probably the gas cap!

are there any codes or lights coming on?

i have a 2013 ford focus and it runs perfectly fine. until i’ve been driving it for about 30 minutes and then it shutters really bad when i stop and take off and get around 30 mph. i’ve taken it to the dealership and they say it isn’t throwing any codes and they can’t duplicate the problem when driving it. i literally don’t know what else to do to fix it. my car finally threw a code and they replaced the o2 sensor but that wasn’t the issue for the problem. please help. 😢

That seems like a clutch shudder concern in your transmission. If that's the problem, it's a $3000 repair. When it's shuddering, you can try accelerating hard several times to scrub the clutch, which can mitigate symptoms for a period of time

Hello, I have a 2018 Ford Fiesta diesel stick shift six speed. It drives fine for about 30 to 45 minutes then after that I get a shudder when pulling away in first gear, it’s driving me crazy any ideas what it could be please🙏🏻

Sounds like a cool car to drive. Wish we had that in the states. Sounds like you have some clutch chatter going on, and may want to replace the clutch, flywheel and slave cylinder

@@BigBensCarsAndCycles Thanks for the help, just saw your video on if the dsp6 can be reliable! All I hear is bad things about the transmission and to stay away from it, but so far it seems okay I haven't experienced anything too weird with it yet.

I have a 2015 Ford Focus. The transmission shutter is a electronic clutch issue with it. It tells us that we don't have to worry about AI. The computer doesn't know how to engage the clutches. Ford has done several software upgrades, but it does not fix the transmission shutter. I found that you just have to give it a little more throttle to force the computer to engage the clutches. 150k on the plugs, it is time for a replacement.

I sanded the 3 ground connection it light weight made it a lil better than before
