    Will say the thing that hung me up was not only does it use Freon 6-7x more expensive it comes in 8oz cans, and require a new set (the correct set) of gauges and tools to refill. Was able to do all the work myself and rent the tools, vacuum the line, do it all correctly and still cost me nearly 400$. Had it been the traditional 134a it would have been 60$. Be prepared!

    Many thanks for the detailed video. I did replace mine as well with the slight variation that I didn't remove the whole air filter assembly, only the large rubber trubing by removing the retainers in both ends. I couldn't pull the air filter assembly enough to get it to pop and was a bit afraid not to break anything. But it all worked out fine. Many thanks again

  • @BigBensCarsAndCycles

    The low pressure line appears to come as an assembly with the lines going all the way to the back of the car. If you suspect just the o-ring leaking you can try matching that one up but make sure it's exact and rated for fuel

    I have been investigating my P0420 code (catalytic converter) and see that some people are saying that replacing the purge valve will help. I am quite certain it is NOT a cat problem and related to the sensors. The code is very intermittent, it will even go on and off during a single drive. I do not have any of the sounds people say attribute to a bad cat. Any advice here?

  • @BigBensCarsAndCycles

    @BigBensCarsAndCycles

    6 ай бұрын

    The cat is a very common issue on these, normally they just set a p0420 code and that's it. Yes, if the purge valve is leaking it can cause the code if the air fuel mix isn't correct. You can try replacing that first, and doing a tune up..and maybe the upstream o2 sensor. If you still have the code, I'd put an o2 spacer on the rear o2. Or spend 1400 on an oem cat. Up to you lol. Aftermarket cats are cheaper but will start setting p0420 again within months
