Just bought one, drove it back 150 miles and I'm still smiling!
I bought a new Fiesta ST in 2014, it has a Cobb stage two Tune short shift kit 3' MBPR exhaust Cobb motor mount and many visual effects, it has over 100,1200 miles on it now and I'm on my 7th set of tires, I run Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires, the car still looks Showroom, my friends can't believe I'm still on the stock clutch, I'm 75 years young and have had 14 cars and 9 motorcycles in my life and by far this is the most fun I've ever had driving, it never gets old. The Fiesta Flash
This was an EXCELLENT and extremely in-depth review. This is one of my favourite cars and definitely now one of my favourite reviewers. Nice one!

Darren Moss Great review, but you made the part when you entered the post code into the sat nav more taxing than necessary. You should have used the number buttons that run across the top of the infotainment system. They input letters in the same way as an old style keypad on a mobile phone.

Anyone else got one of these cars and knows all about it but can’t help themselves from watching these reviews?🤣

The car is def not loud, although it gets kinda loud inside the cabin - I am assuming that some fake engine/exhaust noise is being fed through the speakers. But it is a great car. The exhaust noise can be fixed with aftermarket parts. And I like mine being sort of polite and not introducing itself from a mile away.
Your point about the seats needing readjusting every time they're slid forward for rear seat access is not correct. If used correctly they return to the original position every single time. Regardless, these are fantastic cars. I've almost covered 60,000 miles in mine now on road and track...so many smiles, so much fun! There's nothing out there that compares giving a balance of price, practicality, and pure driving enjoyment.
I love his reviews.. This is how you actually review a car!
What a great review! Really enjoyed it, so professional and in-dept. Thank you! You've just got a new subscriber! Cheers.
You failed to mention engine overboost which is quite important when looking at engine/power specs on paper. Perhaps a mention of the sound symposer would have been useful for potential buyers. And finally, I find the voice recognition really good. Other than that a pretty decent review, very polished and professional, nice work.
The voice recognition on the Fiesta is pretty good. Also, although the infotainment looks cluttered, it's actually easier to use than a touchscreen for some things as you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Great review by the way!
I have the Fiesta ST 3 2016 model in white and it's a cracking car! Well done Ford!
I think its one of the best daily drives ever made
Good review but you could've done with informing viewers about the mountune mp215 pack which doesn't void the warranty
Booming exhaust note? HUH? Wish it had an exhaust note. The Abarth...now that little thing has an exhaust note.

I agree with you Johnny. It doesn't have a 'boomy' note, but it's actually well balanced for every day use. The Abarth on the other hand sounds amazing with the Monza and Akrapovic exhausts. Really fun when you have the mood and really upsetting when you're not. Personally, I love the Abarth because of it's spirit and to sort the issue I would install an exhaust valve.

+Pacman 83 Who's a Ford Ka driven by then?
have they fixed the loose gearchange noises, or made it less easier to steal yet?
Maybe the U.K. version is louder then the one we get in the states, but here the lack of noise is a common complaint about them. But you do a good job presenting and wish you well.
Have a 2017 st3 absolutely love it, previous car was a bmw 1 series diesel m sport, fiesta way more fun.
Great review. Well done
Brilliant car had one 5 years still can't replace it.
On uk roads makes more sense than a focus rs of which I've had two.cheaper to run and maintain and capable of putting serious bhp out without spending lots of money excellent car
I'm from Canada and I own the 2015 ST. It has a bigger screen which works with My Ford Touch. i have 2 USB ports and one SD card slot inside the armrest, heated seats and mirrors, cruise control.. I also believe we don't have any trim levels here. For what i know, it comes fully loaded and you gotta pay extra for stuff like charcoal wheels, stripes, sunroof and navigation. I got myself the mate black stripes over the black paint, and the charcoal wheels. Looks angry
excellent information really good iv got st2 it's fantastic fun but a bit small and a bit stiff
Just got a 2017 fiesta ST can't tell what trim it has cause I don't think my seats are leather but I have a touch screen infotainment center
177lb-ft? Is the unit different or USA version just has 202lb-ft?
Mint review cheers mate
*How's the Recaro for a big guy like you? A lot of Americans complain about it being too tight and get a weak version without the Recaros.*
Where can I get those headlights for a US spec model?
great review
Great vid, maybe invest in a better mic to really get the sound of the engine in there!
Is sync 3 available in the UK versions? my 2016 has it, and it's touch screen helps a lot. EDIT: Just for the record, my car is averaging 27mpg overall since I got the car. I am a very spirited driver. haha. so, that comes into effect, especially since I only drive the car on the weekends. If you get into the boost a lot, the mpg goes way down. So, be skeptical of the 40mpg claim.
Very Nice review.
Good review
The ST200 is worth every penny Love mine the interior alone make it worth it in my eyes 👍
I am a owner of ST200, and I can tell you, its WORTH the money.
This was a very helpful review, especially the head cam view of the rear window. Thanks! I am looking for a 4 door warm/hot hatch but I think I want it a lot more premium on the inside, i.e. GTI/MINI Cooper.

Just for clarification, to get 40 mpg you need to drive ridiculously slow. I average around 33 overall
Great cars. I owned 2 of them from new.
Good review but that exhaust is silent
What "booming" exhaust note? 😂
anyone who knows fast ford's will know the st200 will be a collector in years to come! just check how much it costs to purchase any of the following xr3i capri 2.8i xr2 and any RS model from escort to focus and Sierra. Fast ford's have a huge following.

I’ve had my 2015 st3 mountune stage 1 for 2 months now and it’s bloody brilliant, I get 46mpg average and it goes like stink when you want to.. a bit of a harsh low speed ride but it’s not a big problem, the worst thing about it is the satnav, it’s shite and not easy to use. Apart from that it’s well worth getting!
@menakles

46mpg???? Are you my gran?? I can't get past 38 in mine on the back roads and most of the time I'm driving "reasonably". Joking aside, does it get better mpg with the stage 1 montune fitted? I'm thinking of treating myself after lockdown.

Good review but I noticed one mistake - the climate control is not dual-zone. You're right about the "infotainment" system though, it was ok in 2013 but is starting to show its age now.
197 not 179
Dislike the screen though, why can't it be bigger like the focus?
I'm currently looking at either the Fiesta ST or the Focus ST, anyone have any pros and cons from personal experience? I'm currently driving a mk2 focus as a cheap run about and have had 2 fiestas, so as far as the standards go the focus feels nicer but I don't feel like I need the extra space as much as I usually drive with one passenger, I didn't think it would be this hard of a choice 😅
I cant wait to buy a fiesta st200 when i have my license
cool review!! planning on getting one xd
Can't believe this is old model already.
what a fantastic review this is.. wow :)
bro dem things are fast as hell
Really gd review...not sure he should b reviewing small cars mind lol
It's definitely sporty. But my experience has been that it is not very inexpensive to own or insure. If you like to drive it hard, expect to replace the brakes and tires much more frequently! If you choose to 'track' it, the brakes you replaced the weekend prior to the event will require replacement again. I am not exaggerating this! The stability and abs are not actually fully "off" even though the button below the HVAC indicates that it is "off". So, brakes are going to get very hot, very soon. In track use. Which is all good. Because you will also discover fairly quickly that the FiST is rather short on cooling capacity in either track play or low speed urban traffic on humid, warmish days. I have owned my 16 Fiesta ST for over five years. It's ok as an econobox with a bit more boost. But, it isn't a robust performance car in the traditional sense of the word.
ST-3 it is then definitely over the new one anyway thats for sure!!
I owned an MP215 ST with Mountune exhaust and springs. Was the best car I've owned until I upgraded to it's bigger brother the Focus RS :)
Sometimes I wonder if people who review these have driven a vw polo gti

Thanks man, I have decided to go for the 2016 Focus ST I'm happy that I am doing this as my 350z was so exspensive on fuel and noticed it was going down hill in looks like the paint work had rust and the window motor would only work sometimes. But glad I owned one for a couple of years though.
we briefly had the diesel titanium model, the infotainment system was rubbish and I found the sound quality disappointing, new model due soon anyway

old & grey well it's a Ford... German cars are far better, we had the fiesta in 2014 brand new and a polo at the same time, miles apart and the polo wasn't actually more expensive and it's worth more after two years and it gets around 83mpg. The fiesta was a petrol so it cost more to maintain then our Audi A6 as it needed more services and got 54 mpg far worse then the A6
@nigelcb1300

Chatta290 agreed, we bought our fiesta on looks and I still think its a good looking little car, but the car was a little disappointing in several ways including economy, I drove ours very gently and still only managed around an average of 41 mpg, only slightly better than the 2 litre semi automatic grand Picasso it replaced
heated seats not in South Africa!
Great review... except for the fact it's not a 2017 model... its the 2016 model. I'm sure you'll do juts as good a job when you get to review the new 3 cylinder 2017 ST. You and every other reviewer is so wrong about "too many buttons". Ive never found it hard to work out, for example, what a button named Radio might do... or what a button named AUX, or Phone might do...!!! Could be hard for some. but not me.

IV got a st2, I'd pretty much agree with everything he said apart from the 40mpg. unfortunately that's rubbish, in reality you'll be getting around 32 if you drive like miss daisy around town, 39mpg on long runs and about 26 if you drive like a bell end. I average out around town at around 30-31mpg. still very reasonable but I'd thought I'd just add that in there if someone brought one thinking they was going to get 40mpg like the 1.0ecoboost lol

I have been telling my dad it looks like an angry trout. That being said, it really is one of the best cars I have ever owned, I have had a GTI, 2 cobras (1996 and 2003) a 240sx and an old fox body and I would recommend this ahead of those to anybody, it is cheap, relatively quick and has a massive aftermarket (this is huge for me). It doesn't murder me in petrol (my cobras both got around 9mpg) and I can fold the seats down and head out of town camping or whatever with me and the GS. Not to mention it is CHEAP, I paid 21500 OTD for mine, mind you im in the states so it would probably be a bit less in GBP. Shoot if you have any questions.

Good cars but fords get more and more boring with each release.
The moment i heard turbo, i stopped the video. Natural aspirartion rules. You simply won't get the precision when air has to be compressed, before power is delivered. Get off your gaystations and try it with RL physics, it's quite a difference, but on paper turbos still are the shit.

What is the appeal of this vehicle? Aside from the performance in relation to its size, the rest is junk. The interior is wretched and all in all, this car is WAY overpriced.

butchmeister 80 practically every other car at this price has better interior features. Manual adjusted seats; no blind spot warning; no LED lighting; no options for heated seats; tiny infotainment; cheap plastic trim; etc. Just compare for yourself all of the features found in another $20,000 car and you’ll see. This car should be closer to $16,000. Really, that motor is not worth the price with what you are sacrificing. My car is 17 years old and the interior looks way better than this. I did test drive the car. To be fair, it truly is fun to drive, but it is just too plain for Ford to ask for that much money. Resale value is horrible as well with 50%+ drop in three years time.
