I passed my driver's license test in a Fiesta like this one back in 2008. Good memories :)

That is my car :) It is not the fastest in its class or the most technological, but its chain engine is very reliable and economical

How is the clutch after 100.000 Kilometers? Do you need to do much gas? Im a new driver and i prefer to not do sooo much gas haha

@@trainingislove6581 It has 170k km and the clutch is the original, it has not been changed, you just have to take care to maximize its life, you need to give it gas sometimes because it is a small engine to overtake or join the highway ... Approximately in those situations above 4500rpm maximum, the maximum torque is at 2800rpm, Apart from the usual maintenance I only had to change the thermostat for a break

Its my first car, i still drive it. I have it in silver with paintet bumpers so its completely silver. 60 horsepower. A bit more horsepower would be nice but i love it.

This is a great car! With a great look in the front!

That's my brazilian car. Not this Model exactly, but a 2014 SE 1.6l 107hp zetec rocam, very nice, I love it. It's reliable, confortable, economic and drives very well

I buyed an ford fiesta 2003 1.4 about a year ago and believe me its a great and reliable car. The car never has issues.

The good old Valencia-engine is still running.. Since the 70's.. ;)

It is a cool video, I also have a Fiesta but from 2005. I'm changing the gears mostly at 3000 rpm. I think you are changing the gears up too soon with no reason. Especially 3:35 aproaching the traffic light and you put it into 4th gear, than a second after back to 3rd. However thanks for the good video!☺️

No he's not. He's shifting perfectly. It's you who needs to improve your skills. It's not a powerful car so reving it up to 3000rpm won't get you anywhere quicker. You can hear when he is driving the rhythm of the engine is right and it's in its torque band. You can make good swift progress like this and not burn too much fuel. You will just burn fuel and put strain on your engine. Only time you need to rev to 3-4000 rpm is on higher speed limits in the higher gears to accerlate quicker.

@@alextoft9199 You are completely off. That engine torque is at 4000 rpm's and power around 5000+, if he wants power he has to accelerate. You are dumb, sorry!

@@mcrnk__99 For a 20 year old with high insurance premiums and low income this car is an absolute dream

These Duratec engines were nippy in the Ka but a bit underpowered in the heavier Fiesta, especially at motorway speeds. I had a 2003 1.3 Finesse many years ago. They actually only sold them in the UK with this engine for about a year and then went back to the 1.25, which was even less suited to the heavier body due to a lack of torque (though great fun in my MK4).

In Brazil we were blesses with the 1.6l version with 111hp's in the Ka Sport! (The Fiesta too)

Interesting how people have different methods to start driving. I always turn on the engine, then put my seatbelt on, connect my phone, release the handbrake and then engage into a gear. When I start to drive the car's running for at least 15 seconds which is better for the engine. Also if my last step's to put it in gear, the chlutch spring's wear is minimized. I also put it in neutral when I rolling with 15-20km to a stopsign or a traffic light ^^

Well in big city, heavy traffic 8.5 to 9l per 100km and on highway at 130km/h 6.5 l but you can get it at 90km/h as low as 5.2l. Great car, very reliable, not slow on top speed, could get it going up to 160km/h plus, but weak acceleration, good one should not have oil consumption greater than 500g for 20k km (servise intervals), probably less, strong AC, good brakes, if you hear squeal it could because of more expensive brake pads, wheel bearings could be week point. And she sits very low, so low clearance, maybe issue for some.

I have the same car :) Love it and it's very reliable! But I only have one question. The car uses about 1L of petrol on 14km, is this normal? I hoped the car would have been a little more fuel efficient... Can anyone tell me if this is normal? Thnx!😄

If this consumption is for urban driving its okay. Extra urban is around 5/100.

@@yd7014 Not! That old Valencia engine, will NEVER go 5l/100km, ever.. That 1l per 14 km might very well be the expected average consumption.

@@andersnielsen6044 The european 1.3s are not the old valencia engines. These are the newer zetec rocam sohc engines, that were for their time in the 2000s pretty economical

Workmate of mine has one of these but with the 1.25 engine on LPG. It's very reliable and cheap to run, I don't like the interior though, especially that rubber cover on the gear shifter looks very cheap.
