As the owner of a 1:1 '79 F-150 Ranger Lariat (sorry that's a mouthful) I am so glad to see this. Called my local hobby shop and ordered on as soon as I heard. I'm going to need that pushbar and probably the light kit as well. My truck is rosegold (Vaquero) and brown so the brown one is perfect. Great review as always Matt! Keep up the great work.

It is a beautiful ol ford, I my self am a chevy guy but this blue f150 ranger xlt is way good lookin with the slot mags and the double nerf bar! Sweet

This generation of trucks ran from '73-'79. Came in all sorts of trim packages including the Ranger, custom, and camper special. The Ranger is has always been and will always be my absolute favorite truck ever made or will ever be made.

This front end was only 78-79 but yes I think most of the truck was still the same.

The tag represents the heart of the truck. 😊

Traxxas really knocked that one out of the park, in which they normally do honestly. I love my trx4 k5 blazer, which is now a rc4wd k10 hardbody. They’re awesome crawlers, thanks for showing us the review keep up the good work.

One thing I can say about Traxxas is that they do a great job with bodies. Other than the blacked out stickers, this body looks amazing! I am not a fan of the lifted trucks so I may try to pick up the body whenever that becomes possible and see what I can do with it!

I like what they have done with this platform. What's interesting about this truck is that you could have a more accurate Bigfoot replica than the one they have released. I wonder if that is in the works for this?

Any Ford fan is a friend of mine, love it!!! Really….REALLY looking forward to your follow up vlog of bringing it back down to an even more realistic rendition of ford masterism, lol. I’ll have two! Ford is better!!!

Very nice looking body on this one. I like how the don't have that fillet between the cab and bed like you see on most Lexan pickup bodies. And no body posts! Nice review!

You can move the shocks to a lower hole in the chassis and make a lift kit for free

This is a great looking truck and I think the JConcept Ranger 2.2s would look fantastic under this truck.

Man, what a GORGEOUS truck! The funky tune in the edit was perfect! Both the wheels and body, especially in that blue, completely sold it to me! And I'm definitely not a Traxxas fan! To be fair, I'm just sick of everyone owning a Defender in my area, nothing wrong with the chassis... although I'd love it much more if the axles were straight, and the casings looked more scale! I'd get straight end side casings for it, and call it done!

My son has one. We love and have done some up grades already. Great truck.

I finally got my k10 yesterday. About a battery pack deep and I have no complaints besides the top heavy dynamics. Some lcg mods will hopefully cure most of that.

Wish they offered this truck as a kit! More than likely I’ll be getting the brown version….because I have a real 79 Brown F350 4x4 and I’ll add the hightrail to the rest of my Ford fleet of RCs..😊

Thanks for the video, I was thinking about the lift kit on my traxxas 79 Bronco, but it might be more fun to buy one of those.

Really nice video and answers most of the questions I have about this particular truck. I am looking into buying this truck, and the look of it, and the features it offers are what are drawing me to it. I have been out of the RC hobby for a bit and want to get back into it, and this truck caught my eye. I don’t know why, but I kind of like the brown one. Again, nice video. Thank you.

Wish they wouldn’t glue the tires. Like they do on the M. Cus those wheels make the truck and we wouldn’t have to unglue them.

They were so close! Those front and back plates lol. Also missing the square fuel door

Great video Matt. And the Ford F150 is absolutely gorgeous. I want to buy 1 myself.anyhow who cares so much about outright speed when I could be have this much fun out in the woods and not at some asphalt racetrack going around in circles trying to get faster times. Well done Traxxas and Matt you have done an awesome job with this video.💪👍.only thing Im not 100% with is Traxxas charge exorbitant crazy high prices for spares back up here in Australia but that's true of any brand RC equipment here in Australia. 70s music! I like it. Fits this. I'm also going to swap my hightrail back n fourth to this body with my k10. Maybe I'll just keep this for day time runs. The wheels look awesome though

That was the color of my real truck in 79 I think best paint that they could have ever put on a truck especially with the white spoke wheels that come from the factory it was so cool everybody looked when I come driving up

I’m a Chevy gut & I have the TRX Chevy truck already But! I’d have to say that blue 150 is an eye catcher therefore eventually I’ll add it to the collection. Nice lights.

Okay, just watched the whole video and let me say you did a great job, top video, im looking forward to seeing how you get on removing the paint from the windows, also now thinking i might just get the clear body kit when it comes out and do a nice Lariat paint job on it and fit it to my Carisma scale Ford F-150 chassis with magnet mounts as wheelbase is about same

My Chevy is acting like a Ford. Day 1.. hr 2 my steering servo.. gets stripped. Day 7 I buy the 8038 light kit... my front right signal not working. Good luck. She looks nice though. Need trx4m bodies of the same years. Have fun and happy trails.

This may have just tipped me over the edge. I've been considering bobbing the chassis on my TRX6 to 4x4 with a cool body. This body is the one.

Definitely wanna get this high trail ranger. I think it would look awesome with the bigfoot graphics added to it as it looks like a first gen Bigfoot!

Definitely get the SSD portal delete kit and some 1.55 wheels and tires after the lift is removed.

This does look good, yeah the push bars add more to the look of it. I got my Mashigan tried to order through your link just because I liked your Sahara redo. (got notified it was in stock - went to order and out of stock : think we all heard of the deal by now) think it's setup for ~ not lipo, you'd "flip that sticker for the battery selection I'm thinking? Anyways since I couldn't, I'm saving for getting a early Bronco though your link.

Great rig!! Also looks like Traxxas have paid a bit more attention to the stock wheel arches on the Ford - they seem to clear the 2.2's better than the Chevy.

That is a nice lookin truck! I've always liked that body style of Ford's and Traxxas seems to have done a nice job on this one.

I had a Green 78 F-150 with round lights. The Blue color of this one is very close to what appeared back then. Great running video and music as well. I'd buy this truck for sure. I'm more of a Ford fan. This one brings back lots of memories of that old truck I had.

Awesome looking product. With that being said I was wondering why on the from and rear bumpers there are the Chevy “bow tie” with ford written in the middle. Was that the logo for that era of truck?
