Ford Falcon 1967
The 1967 Falcon, was The Ford Falcon was an automobile produced by Ford Motor Company from 1960 to 1970. It was a huge sales success for Ford initially, handily outselling rival compacts from Chrysler and General Motors introduced at the same time. During its lifespan, was offered in a wide range of body styles: two-door and four-door sedans, two-door and four-door station wagons, two-door hardtops, convertibles, a sedan delivery and the Ranchero pickup. For several years, the Falcon name was also used on passenger versions of the Ford Econoline van. Variations of the Ford Falcon were manufactured in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile and Mexico.

I sorely miss my 1967 Falcon Sports Coupe. FoMoCo only made 7058 of these and even the 1967 two door sedans are rare!

I'm happy own one of these rare beasts.
My first car was a 67 Falcon that I bought for 200 dollars in 1986. Such a cool car, I wish I still had it.
In Australia that 1967 Falcon was know as the XR. It was the first locally produced Falcon Rord Australian made available as a 'GT' model and powered by a V8 engine. Such a shame we didn't get the two door variant. Great looking car.
These new cars can't hold a candle in looks to these old cars. Yeah gas mileage is better, but these old cars were so beautiful. Detroit took pride in their cars back then.

I used to tell friends that if you want a 4 door Mustang buy a Falcon. From 1964 - 1966 Mustang was built on the Falcon platform then Ford switched the Falcons over to the Fairlane platform as a shorter wheel based version the Mustang continued on the Falcon's old platform and got the Mercury Cougar as it's counterpart whereas Falcon had the Mercury Comet as it's counterpart. In 1974 with the downsizing of the Mustang from a big muscle car to the diminutive Mustang II which was counterparted with the new Mercury Capri and built on the Ford Pinto Mercury Bobcat platform the Thunderbird was moved to the old Mustang platform to be the counterpart of the Mercury Cougar. I used to own a 1968 Ford Falcon Futura 4 door sedan and it was a great car.
Just bought 1 in Wyoming running and drove it home. Cost $100.00 that's all. Needs a carb rebuild and a brake job but cant expect perfection after it sat up since 2009.

In Argentina, the Falcon has a bad rep. It was the car the secret police used to take away, what is now know as, "The disappeared."
I had one with the 289 v8 ft disc brakes.It was fast.
I though the F O R D spelled out on the hood and the trim on the rear quarters was 1966 only. My 1967 Futura doesn't have them. These pieces are also missing on every other 1967 I've seen. Perhaps this video was produces early on and Ford decided to eliminate those pieces after creating the sales video.
