Ford F150 Swallowed By Nevada Mud!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

We got a call for a Ford F-150 stuck in the mud in the middle of nowhere Nevada. The road was good both directions except for that one spot! It was 2wd, and they ruined the tire trying to get unstuck. We took blue steel towing the banana, not knowing what the road conditions were. We stopped to get the keys, and somehow forgot that minor detail...
We called John and told him to send his fastest pony to bring us the keys, he hopped in his miata and made record time, while we changed the brakes on the Jeep.
We finally arrived to find the Ford stuck with a flat, and after finding suitable hook points were able to tow it out rather easily. Eric got the tire changed and drove it to the car wash to clean it up.
It was a long day, but was a lot of fun, in some beautiful countryside. We hope you enjoy.

Matt’s how-to: how to do everything with a lot less tools than anybody else. Need an Offroad wrecker? Nope, got a little Jeep. Need a winch, hi lift, or any other recovery gear? Nope, got a rope. If those don’t work, we just get more little jeeps with more ropes. Need wrenches to change those brakes, or gloves, or anything? Nope, got this busted screw driver and a chunk of old barbed wire. Don’t tell me that’s not a how-to. Please keep it up, I’m stuck in a walker and need to see somebody using their man card.

True, wouldn't do that with a car or a vehicle with not enough ground clearance in a pinch situation. This Jeep has tons of lift and tire he could put it down and play dodgeball underneath it. It'd scare the shit out of him I bet but this particular case it wouldn't kill him unless he stupid put his head under the rotor. It won't stop people from getting underneath a car with 3" of ground clearance and an old shitty jack.

Well done. I disagree about it being a "How to Channel". You are teaching the lost art of improvisation, a gift that has served me, and I suspect you as well, for many years.

I have had to do some “on the rod repairs” and the only thing I hade to save my butt was my issued Gerber multi tool I got in the Military. Even got stuck once and had to remove a tree limb no axe or shovel. Couldn’t break it cause it was up against the truck, was able to get half way through the limb and put some weight into it and broke it free. Never underestimate the power of ingenuity and determination to get something accomplished.

He used a hacksaw, adjustable wrench and a piece of steel pipe that was lying nearby. Two hundred miles later a water pump broke down and this was terrible, because that car model were really rare in our country. Fortunately we stopped a truck, placed our car inside, and get to home that way.
