Great video Gilbert! I admired your lack of frustration and determination. I'm an old timer and remember changing a heater core on a '66 Ford Galaxie. It had four 3/8" bolts that held it in, from inside the engine compartment and the two hose clamps. Now that I own a 1997 F150, I will try my best to be as calm as you when I change the heater core. Keep making great videos Gilbert!

Something to mention here. When replacing the heater core it's a good idea to replace the blend door actuator. They can easily break due to the plastic breaking. You will hear a clicking noise when adjusting temperature.

I'm probably going to have to remove the lower dash cover below my steering wheel to change out the blower motor relay switch on my pick-up. Yep, it's a mess down there and I don't know why.

Can Rodents get in through the Holes on the Right & Left Side of the Interior Cab down behind the Foot Panels? Can they gen in through the Heater if the Door is Stuck Open?

If the carpet is fine i dont think they can. They might be going in thru the air vents, thats the only way you can go in where the heatercore is at.. if you got a plastics cover in front of the windshield remove it and check under there you might have to remove de windshield wipers

Do you have to drain the coolant before cutting the lines to the heater core? I imagine you would but wanted to confirm.

This jod it take about 10hrs of labor we charge $100 per hour and if there is any parts that need to be replace we just add that to the total price alot of times you can flush the system with out take out the dash you should ask the mechanic if this is an option for your truck...I hope it geta solve soon

Evaporador it is for the a.c. system and you would have to do this to get it out but I would check the a.c freeon first o check the pression in the system

Does everything lights up on the dash like check engine light oil light and all that? Check the main conectors under the dash driver and passanger side. check for pending codes
