Same thing happened to mine. The problem was, the flippers/blinds in front of the radiator were shut closed. I don't know why for put the stupid things there!!!

I have the same issue going on, I took it to Ford they told me thermostat and water pump I changed them and still same issue but I also noticed my grille shutters are stuck on closed. Could that solve the issue? Did you take them off?

Pull the engine out just to replace water pump on a 2018 Ford Explorer? What a piece of junk you can't even replace anything on that motor without pulling the motor out.

You don't have to pull it out to replace it. You'd only have to pull it out if you want more room to work with.
