EVs should be cute, cheap, little affordable compact cars for basic city and suburban transportation. Having a large electric pickup is not efficient or economical, electricity still costs money.

All those cars cost too much and trucks😮

i don't buy the Ford "ICE subsidizing EVs" story. They'll price everything as high as they possibly can where people will still buy them. People are still buying $80 to $100k pickup trucks. When (if?) that absolute insanity ends , the market will correct itself..

My brother in law bought a brand new Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV 5 years ago. Now his range is down to 20 kms from 42 kms and a new battery is $20k. Also, some component failed that controls the opening/closing of the fuel door. He had to do a hack job and bust the door to be able to refuel his car. The estimate to repair this issue was $2k. So, where are the savings with HYBRID or pure EV??? Total Phuking waste of time. On the hiway my Tundra achieves 12 to 13 litres per 100 kms. That is not to bad and that truck will outlive me.

Bruh... The The Mitsubishi Outlander has a 5 years/60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, with a powertrain coverage of 10 years/100,000 miles, and a battery pack warranty of 10 years/100,000 miles... why didn't he take advantage of any of these Warranties if he bought it "brand new"??? Also, the hybrid savings should still be there even if the battery only degraded by half, are you sure there's not something else wrong with the vehicle?

As someone who worked in sales for Mitsubishi during the car shortage - id love to hear you cover them. Nobody really talks about Mitsubishi. During the shortage because Mitsubishi makes their own chips we had great inventory & were killing it. Even offering small discounts to close deals. I left once it started to slow down, now according to my former colleagues now that all the other brands have stock - nobody is buying them. Over 150 vehicles in stock at the dealership and they only have 4 models.

Something i don't understand, we see dealers full of pickups that don't sell and yet, General Motors reported its best quarterly sales in more than three years, including notable increases in full-size pickup trucks and all-electric vehicles.🤔

Haha yes deceit. Increases in lease and fleet sales as well is buying a few for their own service loaners. The retail numbers are no where nearly that good.

Offer as many incentives they want. I am not wasting money on a throw away car with high priced repairs. When people hear the word Mustang they think of a sports car that growls when revved. Not a throw away car that sounds like a ufo.

🤣😂🤣🤣 that's because of the money they'll make on repairs and maintaince. Everybody knows a Ford spends more time in the shop compared to any other maker. 40 years in the automotive field I guarantee 75% of the money I made over the years was from working on Fords. They couldn't give me a Ford. No way no how. Even if it was cash free and TTL paid.

Fords NOT offering 0% for 60 months in Ontario for the Mach E , try $837 for 84 @ 4.5% !!! I’ll keep my car. The Mach E select is $68,000 CAD !!

Discount em all Ford wants......no thanks. Those things are losing up to 5o% value after 1 year. Will lose your butt trying to dump em after a short ownership.

For my next new car, I'm waiting for the last gas-powered Toyota Camry to roll off the production line. Thanks! 👍

Yeah but it is an Equinox....It will last maybe 40,000 miles. My mechanic won't even work on them anymore because they are such junk. Not trying to hate on your purchase, but stating facts. Hopefully you got really lucky and it will last for many years.

The first new vehicle we ever bought was a 2000 Ford Windstar minivan. We bought it because Ford gave owners of previous Windstars( that we bought used), $6,000 off the price as compensation for the head casket problems they had. It needed three transmissions while I owned it. At least two of them were covered under warranty. Yes, two transmission replacements under 36,000 miles.

I forgot when we put the third transmission in, but it did last until one of the sliding doors rusted and fell off. I got rid of it then. Money was tight back then, raising three children on a factory worker and a secretary salaries. All good now. We laugh about it, but will never, ever buy another Ford.

I actually like the mustang machE but I’m NOT willing to shell out more than 25k for a vehicle. I don’t care what it is and anyone that pays more for a first gen electric domestic vehicle is a 🍭 That’s why they’re not selling.

I live in a third world nation called southern Illinois. They are not giving cars away here, however I do see a lot of new vehicles on the road
