I literally finished the cruel prince trilogy yesterday and let me tell you IT WAS AMAZING I loved every bit of it

the amount of joy i got from your reaction to the silent patient is literally unimaginable. LIKE ME TOO GIRL, IT TRICKED ME TOO!!!

I highly reccoment six of crows, it was SO GOOD. it literally got me back into reading after a big reading slump. I literally got lost in the book its so good

As a reader myself, I loved this video it's wholesome ❤️ I would recommend Howl's Moving Castle in case you haven't read it yet, I know it's children's book but I only recently read it and I'm over 25 by a year haha and I absolutely loved it and went back straight to rewatch the anime (the anime tells the story from Sophie's POV whereas the book tells it from Howl's POV) both are great ❤️

It's so great to hear that you're back in to reading! I would strongly, strongly recommend Little Thieves by Margaret Owen, who also does artwork for the series. It's got such amazing characters and world building [it's based off a fairytale and very much has those vibes]! The books made me both laugh and cry and they're literally my Roman empire 🤭🥰

its sooo rare to find someone who like "friends to lovers". I love that trope as well, and lowkey didn't like 'enemies to lovers'. If I hate someone, I wouldn't even get near them. I prefer the 'romance' as the side trope, like it is not the main plot. It's like Mystery with romance in it. I particularly love The Red Palace by Jane Hur, bc it is mystery with romance in it, and very slow burn. This is the biggest reason why right now I prefer to read Chinese Historical novels, especially Revenge Rebirth Trope, because usually the main couple is one true love. We could see them planning to plot the revenge, destroy a kingdom together, with small yet sweet bickering. There is a restraint between the couple that made me asdfghjkkl, quite slow burn. It's like when you watch romance anime and you wait when the couple finally kiss after 7-8 episodes. It felt like rewarding and made me blush. This is also the reason why I particularly dislike how fast it was for English romance novel to jump to have skinship, kissing, touching and etc.

I really recommend "Shakespeare Was A Woman and Other Heresies" by Elizabeth Winkler. It questions the identity of Shakespeare, it's written by a journalist (the story really happened) and reads kind of like murder mystery.

A few book recs: the dove keepers, circi, ariadne, Enders game, duck death and the tulip 📚✨

If you liked the cruel prince (one of my fav series), I would recommend These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong, Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult, The Stolen Heir by Holly Black, All my rage by Sabaa Tahir, and Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

One book that I will forever recommend is The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. The writing is really descriptive and I would say it's a short read, bu the wording is part of the reason I fell in love with it. If you even get the chance I definitely recommend this book

This video was such a breath of fresh air, as booktube has been falling a little flat for me recently. I loved seeing your reactions to the folk of the air trilogy so much LMAOOO it’s so well written. I highly recommend reading the grishaverse !! It Consists of 3 series. You can chose to read either shadow and bone first or six of crows. While six of crows is miles better than shadow and bone i recommend reading the shadow and bone trilogy first so you can get an understanding of the world that the books are set in!

@@ican384 hey!! so the first chapter of soc is just kind of like a prequel chapter. Joost isn’t a reoccurring character at all, he is there to set up the main problem of soc. keep reading it gets better and better

I recommend a series that I don’t really see much on the internet which is “a winter’s promise”. It’s a series of four books, fantasy with romance, arranged marriage, different cultures, magic and family powers. I personally loved it
