FORCED from the Smoky Mountains by FERAL people!
Ойын-сауық
FERAL PEOPLE terrified a young couple while they tried to spend the night in their truck down a rough back road in the Smoky Mountains. Nearly surrounded, and left with little options, Travis was forced to back down the narrow, rough trail, only to find out their pursuers tried to track them in the mountains!

Glad to see you back man! We live about 20 miles from the Great Smoky mountains national park. About 10 years ago the local news channel out of Asheville did a short story on a park ranger being attacked by a feral person, end quote. The ranger was roughed up pretty bad. The funny thing is is they only aired the story once. After that it was hushed up! I know a lot of local people and they will tell that the Smoky mountains are a very strange place and to be very careful if you go there. Keep up the great work my friend!

Years ago when I was 16-17 years old, (about 30 years ago) Me, my Mother and my siblings went to visit some family who lived in eastern KY. I had never met these particular family members until this visit and my mom had not seen them since she was a child. They lived pretty far back in the sticks, but I know they had access to electricity at least. We stayed a couple of days, and when we left, brought one of my cousins back home with us to visit for a couple of weeks, who was about 2 years older than myself. I drove him to McDonalds one night when we we went to Oxford (A town in south west Ohio). I asked him what he wanted to eat, and he said he wanted a Big Mac, when I asked him what side dish like fries or something. He responded that he wanted "Corn." In short my cousin sonehow knew enough about McDonalds to know about Big Macs but not enough to know they dont sell corn.

I never go into the unknown, without a few guys with me. Between us we have compact assault rifles, lever action rifles, compact tactical shotgun, handguns, and a lot of knives! Once went camping within the Atchafalaya basin(Louisiana) during late fall. Awakened around 2:45ish am to distant gunfire, walked to a high point within our campsite to see two men across the swamp. Their truck lights were shinning on a car that they were pushing into the swamp. One of them threw something into the water, probably the keys to the car. They then threw what looked like clothes onto the ground and poured gas on it and lit it, drove away after it burned up.

I agree about finding a safe area. I have done a lot of lonely highway driving by myself and one gets creepy vibes in some places. In fact, late at night with a friend even we managed to scare each other on an isolated mountain road ("What if there is something behind those rocks??" remarkable how one's imagination runs in lonely places.) I was alone on a highway in NV which is besides its few cities, Vegas, Reno, etc. is mainly desert and no way I was pulling to the shoulder to take a nap with only desert on either side -- you miss seeing other cars, even though they are carrying strangers it is still a kind of company. What I disagree with is that "protection" matters at all: even if you have had gun training, wasn't your plan to sleep? So you could have a shotgun or an RPG in your car and if you are asleep how does having a weapon matter? And even if u were awake, what if there are many of them or they have weapons also?

I believe there are people who live in the remote wilderness. There has been at least one instance of a person running from the law who was captured after decades and he had been hiding in a national forest the whole time. Not quite the same as a feral person but it's not so far off either. I also know of a man who is a pastor now who had previously been homeless and lived in a national park in CA. He reports that he himself and another homeless person he knew regularly walked around naked.
