When you talk about this game, i feel its important to keep the development in mind. This game was made in 9 months, and the story had to be written by 1 guy in a week. Considering how little time they had, and the improvements to the engine and combat they also made, i think its actually amazing. I wished we got a force unleashed 3 man

People didn't like it but I had so much fun destroying everything with lightsabers.

This game actually does have a full combo system like the first game, it's just that you don't need to unlock any of them and the game never tells you about any of them either. I didn't know about them until I went into the challenge mode where one of the challenges was to do all of the combos one after the other.

Loved it when zanny said it’s force grip time and gripped all over the place

My canon for this game was that star killer isn’t actually a clone. They’re just telling him that and I think the big twist of the third game was gonna be that it was revealed that he isn’t a clone and is in fact of the real star killer because when you watch the ending of the first game, I always thought to myself if Palpatine can survive that blast Certainly star killer could’ve right

This is exactly what I was expecting the twist to be, and then it just didn't happen. The story would have landed better if they'd just had Vader manipulating him into thinking he was a flawed clone.

I’ll be honest I thought Starkiller pulled a Vegeta with that blast and evaporated after. I was more willing to accept the clone thing because of that

To play devil's advocate, I'm pretty sure the devs who worked on the game were given probably a year or less to make this sequel. They did plan to make it a new character, but most likely due to time constraints they had to make Starkiller again.

Force unleashed 2 story was bad but that combat was very solid. I think it did get watered down on some of the grapples and force powers but the saber combat was great and it’s one of the few games that had dismemberment in it. While the actual combos weren’t challenging they did add a real cool mechanic of timing your attacks to change the different attacks and if you did it right there was a saber combo that had Star killer slicing the living shit out of anything for like a minute straight and if you pulled it off nothing would be alive. Another thing to note they had considerable less time to develop the sequel compared to the first game and it was getting close to when the studio was about to be shut down ):

This game is ACTUALLY fun. It’s ULTIMATE SHORTNESS is the biggest problem imo. After all, it was made in 9 months and was the last major LucasArts Star Wars game before Disney. But, I’m still glad ur finally playing it!

It really isn't underrated. The gameplay is worse than the first because there's less combos and the bosses for the most part aren't good, the QTEs are also much less interesting and dynamic. The level design is also severely lacking.

You actually do have all the combos from the first game available. They're unlocked from the start: you just have to know what buttons to use. Also I really love how you can knock pieces of armour off the troopers in this one- the best way to demonstrate it is with the dashing blast. It often completely knocks the chestplate off a stormtrooper but he's still able to stand up and keep fighting. Also a fully-charged saber throw is enough to one-shot the carbonite droids.

Ahhh yes Force Unleashed 2. One of my favorite games from my childhood 😁

There are good combos in this game, you just need to fully upgrade the lightsabers, also you can launch enemies into the air and air grapple them like in the first game.

There are combo details you just have to go to upgrades and show details and it’ll cycle to combos in pretty sure

Galen's story should've ended with his sacrifice in TF1, bring him back as a clone undermines that. But since TF2 exists I prefer the theory that Starkiller is actually Galen that survived his sacrifice and was brainwashed using force while in coma or something. Vader kept him alive for the cloning and tried to bend him to his will against by fooling him into thinking he's a clone.

there are unlockable combos they are automatically given to you when you when you upgrade saber they just dont tell you are getting them, i also have suggestions for new series you could do, they are the devil may cry and infamous series

i remember playing this at my ps3, i sucked, like any 5 yo would, butt the infinite hp and power codes were really cool for me

A couple more minutes and there would have been one hell of a boss fight

TFU2 is definitely a mixed experience for me. The combat is great and I love the power fantasy being upped from the first game, but yeah, the story is A story to be sure.

Story was meh but gameplay was so good, I had fun playing it back in the days !

The psp version of force unleashed lets you play movie scenes like anakin vs obi wan or luke vs vader You should try that versiona also the first part with Darth Vader is during night time which makes it 100x cooler
