Man your a legend, it came back after a few searches! I don't understand why is this happening, this category was always the last one and than randomly disappears. Also love Crimson skies!

I feel like they're trying to forget and move on from 360 games, which sucks for us who love the classics.

Should not be based on whether you search for bc or not 😂 They've made it an algorithm thing instead of a set area of the store which it should be I even bought 5 or 6 and it still disappeared it's a great feature that should have it's own dedicated area Thanks for the video helped and fully restored at least I know what to do it it disappears got all the ones I want in a wishlist as well which I suggest everyone does Gonna buy all the ones I want won't have to relly on this part of Xbox store

Quick question if I have a game like Morrowind and use the included with game pass option will I still be able to play it once the pass expires if I have the disc or has the true backwards compatibility of it been taken away from us

Doesn't work here. I even reset factory default to my Xbox One X and backward compatible category still missing.

Is anybody else having a bit of a strange issue with their Xbox library of games? I've checked all of my owned games, and for some odd reason, all of my Xbox 360 & Xbox games are merged with the rest of my Xbox One games. This happened to me, after I did a full shutdown on my Xbox Series X, and I haven't figured out why most of my backwards compatible games are merged with the Xbox One games. 🤔

I've been trying to search for an Xbox 360 game called "The Dishwasher - Dead Samurai " and zero results.. any ideas?

Unfortunately some games still get delisted because of licensing issues. FORZA is one of the games that gets affected by this. I wish MS would do something about it.

Just tried this and its back, the list for backwards compatible games however isnt complete titles like the following are missing: Dead or alive ultimate Dead or alive 2 Dead or alive 3 Gun valkyrie Manhunt Max payne Max payne 2 Otogi Otogi 2 Panzer dragoon orta All of the above can be found by manual search but dont show in backwards compat menu, absolute pain as there maybe even more missing but wont have a clue unless you know what to search for. Uodate: found a few more and addex to the above list most if not all appear to be OG xbox games.

It appears every game from the "Final Batch" is missing, as Binary Domain also doesn't show

what about the xbox tenchu games?

Maybe some here can help me. When I was a kid, there was a military game like battlefield, but instead you could take control of individual soldiers at will. Drive tanks, fly helicopters, cars etc. it had something to do with command and one of the missions was to fly a Blackhawk to various locations in a war zone to take pictures or something. While later you were to stop a train on a collision course. I can’t remember the name and I can’t seem to find it anywhere. And I was hoping it could jog some old memories again. If anyone knows it’s name, pls tell me.

FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR, MERCENARIES, BROTHERS IN ARMS were some old games that u commanded squads, flew choppers, etc, probably BF BAD COMPANY OR MODERN COMBAT tho, just tryn to throw sum titles out ther, goodluck

I really hope they do this with GTA3 and vice city

They announced a while back that they are done making any more games BC. Mostly due to Technical and Legal issues.

unfortunately a problem remains … for example.. Max Payne 1,2, 3 do not appear in the menu you show but only looking for them individually..

Yes it is. Well spotted. I chose it because I’m a huge PKD fan and the name matches my initials. Oh, and chip is slang in my part of the world for running. I used to do a lot of running when playing fps games - mainly backwards 😉😂

If it’s a backwards compatible game, then it should. But you could just find it by searching for it if you want.

lol you just go to the home section of games actually in the store, it's always there at the bottom, the problem is ALL of the backwards compatible games are not listed in that list, they haven't updated it in about 3 years

PlayStation and Nintendo solved this issue by having all their older games in their own category. Microsoft is so dumb for making is jump through these many hoops to find some games

The games are listed under a backwards compatible section. But the menus appear to be contextual so the bc section disappears if you haven't used it for a while. It is possible to get the section back, though.

No, only certain game will work. The list is pretty extensive but there are some glaring omissions, like the Project Gotham Racing games, for instance.

Some games yes. Most of the backwards compatible 360 games can be played via the disc version. Some of them are disc only. There are handful that are Kinect exclusive or the disc will not work for whatever reason.

Sometimes that happens when a game has been withdrawn. The most recent example of this I can think of is Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Xbox 360. I suppose they want us all buying the recent crappy remaster package instead. I had to buy that particular collection as a physical copy because it was no longer available. Another reason why digital purchases can be a pain in the arse.

You can’t buy the digital version for the first game anymore. The second one you can buy but only from the Xbox website.

Just last night I searched for KOF 2002 UM on the store it didn’t pop up or KOF 98 UM but I went to safari searched up KOF 2002 UM XBOX and I clicked on the Xbox website and it had the game I was like?? So I bought it from safari threw Microsoft store and got both games yet they weren’t in the store on Xbox but they now are playable odd

Yeah, there are some very weird things like that. I made a video a couple of weeks ago talking about how an OG Xbox games was included as part of the monthly rewards. You had to play one of the games to get an achievement and that would get you award points. The trouble is OG Xbox games don’t have achievements 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Xbox is a great platform in many ways but stupid shit like this really needs to be sorted out.

I'm grateful for the ones that exist, but I'd love to play the High Moon Transformers Cybertron series. We got the first two Marvel Ultimate Alliance games... Marvel must like money more than Hasbro does.

No, that would have been exhaustive, and I know from experience that it can be flakey. It worked repeatedly, though, over a period of weeks and months.
