In Forbidden Desert, you play a group of adventurers who venture out into the desert to excavate an ancient desert city to recover a solar powered legendary flying machine when unfortunately your helicopter crashes and you and your team become stranded in the desert.
It is now your goal to survive, protect yourself from the harsh sun and moving sandstorm to try and excavate and locate the 4 parts of the legendary flying machine and use it to escape the desert forever.
This is truly fun puzzle like family cooperative board game that is easy to learn but difficult to master. The level of difficulty can be adjusted and the tension in this game truly builds up.
The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way.

After you reveal a gear tile, can you land on it again later in the game and collect another gear card?

Yes you can leave the gear on the tile except it can get buried beneath the sand if the storm hits that space. So be careful.

@@LarnedJustin Sorry I misread your comment and thought you meant the machine parts. With the gear cards, I think you can only use the tiles once to draw a single gear card.

Forbidden Desert. It does depend on who your audience is. Forbidden Desert does have a little bit more going on with extra depth.
