Tristin, your bow making skills are excellent. Here’s a tip- instead of a Flemish twist type for the top loop when making a bowstring, just tie a bowline knot to secure the loop.If you tie the knot correctly, it will never slip. And it’s so much easier and quicker than Flemish tying the bowstring at the loop end. Try it!! Works great!👍

@@tristinriddle101 it's impressive that you were able to reach 200 yards with it, but since I've seen your videos building them, just a curious question / what do you think of the idea of building a short penobscot style bow like that, just to increase it's poundage to 80 or 90 lbs at 20", not that you would need it, but just for fun, to see how far such a thing could shoot and how fast it could shoot with the same type of short Comanche arrows, if you can reach 200 yards with the bow you currently have, maybe you could reach way further with the one I mentioned // Why a penobscot style ?? well, you'll probably know the answer to that better then me, but I've read that these short selfbows can only max out at 70 lbs or so, maybe I'm wrong on this, but if one goes higher then 70 lbs that One piece of wooden stave would not be able to handle the stresses with such short length, However two pieces of wooden staves should be able to handle higher poundages since they get distributed on both the main bow and back bow

With respect in turn of your own, i respond. While i would whole heartedly agree with a burial/sacred site remaining undisturbed, i feel a discarded arrowhead (as the piece of flint almost doubtlessly was.) would hardly hold any reverence to it’s previous owner. Just a thought.
