Funny how this song expressed society and the world in 1967. Here in 2022 this song still expresses society and the world. 🤔
Seems fitting for the times we're in today..as it was in the 60's..70's..80's..etc,etc..thank goodness for music.

I just left a quote/line from this great ANTHEM on a news channel, satire but he means it. I am a Canadian and never will stop being a "hippie" nor loving that music of that decade- hasn't come to "fruition" but we can't give up. When Trump colluded with "thugs" and allowed the Whitehouse to be stormed, I thought of Kent State and how ironic history is...Namaste from Hanging on By the Seat of my "Levis"

Despite what is commonly believed today, the song was not a commentary on anti-war demonstrations. Far from it. The event under consideration was the so-called Riot on the Sunset Strip, which involved about 1,000 kids who were demonstrating against the imposition of a curfew and the announcement that a popular club (Pandora’s Box, at 8118 Sunset Boulevard) was slated to be closed. Hope you're enjoying it also,, sounds like you are.✌️👍 And definitely didn't have this much say in my toy options!

I'm 19 and couldnt agree more this music isn't limited to the people who grew up with it as the message is timeless at least until something changes

This song was sung in the 60's but more relevant today in the USA now than ever before. Like a prophecy repeating itself with stories of daily mass shootings, protests and mental health issues gone wrong in USA today.

This was an anthem in the '60's and it fits today in '23! It's time we stopped! Everybody look around see what's going down!!
Being tone deaf I have the greatest admiration for your musical notation. Well done.
This song has become so much more relevant in this day and age. So scary, our generation knew way back then.
True words then and still true today. Maybe one day we will listen...
This song will be relevant for many more moons to come 😥✌
"grandma, what did the sixties sound like?" -- "kid, can you imagine the sound of the winds of revolution on the horizon?"
Yes, I remember when this meaningful song 🎵 first came out. My husband did two tours of duty in Vietnam with 150 jumps. A bit of an extremist.

I was 16 when this came out. ~ it awakened me to the evils of the War in Vietnam. What an anthem it was for my young self, and it still is to me this day as well. There were people of a sinister nature who were racist, hate filled, and authoritarian. They are still here and perhaps even more so.

This song feel right for today
We use to play this song every night before lights out in the barracks in 1969. It kinda summed up our day.
This song is as relevant today as the day it was written.
Love Buffalo Springfield. Neil Young and Stephen Stills 2 really great artists. Expecting To Fly ✌️
Luv it every body needs to pay attention to what is going down
Beautiful song. ❤❤❤
I've been a fan of them all since 1966-or 1967, (hey, its been a while) and followed as they made the greatest music around - from Poco, to CSNY, and on and on. I often wear a Buffalo Springfield Tee at concerts. It never fails as an ice breaker - so many folks come on up with great smiles and memories. Try to do a rock and roll DNA family tree starting with Buffalo Springfield - like trying to get to the end of "pi". This whole retrospective album, all great songs.
That’s really interesting that everyone believes that this song is their song while they have so many better song. It might be because of the lyric which made this song more important.

Great song. first heard it on the radio when i was a kid. Maybe I'm ignorant but i don't hear that many chord changes between E, A, D, C & G in the play along . Yes they're all there but i don't think they are changing that much .
People used to sing this song when I was in elementary school when it was new. We thought the song was called, Stop children what's that sound. We had no idea at the time what the correct title was.
