Alviin Cast To be fair, "anime" is an abbreviation of "animation". In Japan, it refers to ANYTHING that's animated, Japanese or otherwise. Outside of Japan, anime refers strictly to animated works of Japanese origin. So if Reginald is from Japan/is a non English speaker, s/he might not know the difference.

"Don't let them in, don't let them see Be the good girl you always have to be Conceal, don't feel, put on a show Make one wrong move and everyone will know" As a newly diagnosed autistic (and possibly ADHD) girl, I've finally realized why this line hit so hard for me- This basically describes masking your intense emotions to fit in with people in casual situations. And if you don't do that, you end up risking so much (I ended up wrapped up in fights because of overwhelm). I used to mask a lot more when I was little. I try not to do it as much now. The line "be the good girl you always have to be" specifically, reminds me there was a time in which everyone adored me: when my parent's friends would come over when I was 3 or 4 and they would talk to me. I still miss it, and I know I shouldn't because that little girl and I are basically different people now. But it's hard. The entire party scene, and especially the part where Elsa keeps avoiding Anna's questions and ends up hitting the partygoers with ice because she's upset, hit way too close to home as well (referring to the "overwhelm fight" incident above) Especially since she says "I SAID SHUT UP" before she does it and, when I'm overwhelmed, I'm mostly overwhelmed by noise. This entire movie describes having strong emotions in a way no other Disney/Pixar film has for me. Not even Inside Out, although that's closer to the feeling of depression I get when I get used to masking emotions too frequently.

Hey people were saying this movie is the best Disney movie since The Lion King and I cannot agree more! Very well done Disney!

We'll be performing a ballet piece to this song for our end of year concert tomorrow with my dance academy. I'm so excited!🎉🤩❤ Now every time I play this song it takes me back to all those amazing dance rehearsals that helped us get ready for tomorrow's big day.....Such great memories!!💝💖💓💃🩰

When you finally get to see the boys after quarantine

I always thought the dueling lyrics in this song were a pretty clever commentary on extroversion/introversion ..... I'm guessing almost everyone either identifies with Anna (extrovert) or Elsa (introvert). Anna lives in the moment and is stoked for the party, while Elsa is steeling herself for the terror of social interaction - "putting on a show .... it's only for today ...."

2022 is almost over! This movie will be 1 off my fav movies with Frozen 2. Say Something if you don’t want to feel sad that this movie is a couple of years old! It makes me movie feels like I’ve watched this my whole life, because I always watch it over and over again, I love the character and the songs in it! 😊😢

Think Disney songs don't measure up academically?? Analyze THIS!! If "For the First Time In Forever" isn't my Disney fave, it's definitely my vote for smartest. I can't think of a better (Disney) example of "smartness" not interfering with the beauty. Foreshadow for a tragic Opera indeed, this one's extremely complex, both musically and psychologically. First, we get a montage of the socially/emotionally starved younger sister Anna, looking brightly to the future, juxtaposed against older sister Elsa, who is already much more in tune with the darker side of the world (Elsa's part starts by transposing to relative minor at 2:18). Their duet at the end is quite powerful, until Anna ends it solo - it is her song afterall❤ For those who aren't up-to-date on living Disney Composers, Alan Menken is the "John Williams" - the go-to guy. He wrote "Under the Sea", "Beauty and the Beast", "Tangled" AND "Little Shop of Horrors"! He's the man. In 2013, Disney went in a different musical direction for "Frozen" (story by Hans Christian Anderson) with married couple Robert and Kristen-Anderson Lopez. All sides knocked it out of the park! The Lopez's became instant legends. Their brilliant cascades of rappable lyrics, inventive harmonies and stylistic mood-swings definitely upped the ante for folks like genius Lin Manual-Miranda when he wrote "Hamilton" and "El Canto". For me, it's the perfect mix of Classical/Jazz/Broadway/Pop! Frozen's "For the First Time..." was indeed well ahead of it's time!🎶
