Xhaka has had a good competition in the Euros and whether you like him or not has been an important player for us, where as Bellerin hasn't even got into the Spain squad and he wasn't even playing regularly towards the end of the season. I'd be happy to get anything for him to be honest.

I mean we did reject a £40 million + bid for him a few seasons ago from Barca. Apparently it's PSG who are interested in bellerin this season. No idea why they want him out of all right backs but they tend to overpay for a lot of their signings. We can get at least £20 million if PSG are adamant to buy.

Agreed with the Sell list. Go for Option 2 in the Buy list + a backup Leftback (Bertrand or Van Anholt) . If Willock leaves, get an extra CM (Sander Berge)

To have any shot at the top four I truly believe it's the midfield that needs urgent addressing. I think that's the key to unlocking this Arsenal team because the balance in midfield hasn't been right for a long time. Depending who we lose in midfield if we can get Bissouma, Beundia and Odegaard/Aouar or any other creative midfielder that fits that profile then we would've gone a long way to address our problems because this team sometimes looks void of ideas in possession.

Willock will increase in value with another few good seasons, put a buy out clause of 40/45 for him like how we got Partey

When was the last time we went out and bought 4-5 players in the summer? No loans, free transfer etc. The expectation for this summer is the normal one main signing and a couple of stop-gap free's and loans. It's depressing me as I can already guess that the reduced number of games may be more impactful than the signings we make. 6-7th in the league and a good cup run will be seen as an improvement. When we lose/sell Aubameyang end of next season/season after this what star players will we have at the club and when will we ever have a star player at the club again?

I think that was some really good insight from both of you in terms of the realistic expectations in the transfer Window to get us to top 4. At the end of the day, he’s probably a lot cheaper than, let’s say, Bissouma, and has just as much if not more potential. We need to start being more shrewd in our signings.

The only way your option 1 gets you top 4 is if the Europa teams drop back from match volume and all your buys settle in a) really fast and b) play to their optimum very fast. Even then, other teams have stronger squads and all things being equal SHOULD finish higher. (Remember, how many ideal sales actually come off, 50% at best?)

I think we can raise about 170mil. 5m for nelson is a pisstake but the rest of the prices are realistic.
