The bear played, drank beer, and even fought with the soldiers. In the Battle of Mante Cassino, Wojtek was witnessed carring crates of artillery to the front lines. Without dropping a single one. The bear was promoted to the rank of Corporal and after the war retired in Scotland in the Edinburgh Zoo. What a badass bear

Three wise monkeys originated from japan and they have statues in Tokugawa Ieyasu's Toshogu Shrine who is the founder of Tokugawa Shogunate.. So they are fitting :)

@@Kozakow The war her brother had gone to, the war mentioned in prologue as just starting. *It was WWI analogue of their world.* And now add in the facts that there were more mechanized units, factions and majority of it happens not somewhere away in France, no, it was all here. A prologue ends with upcoming war that was a dozen times more bloody and horrific then Great War we know.

If you ever read the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfield, it’s a very similar WWI scenario with giant dieselpunk mechs, as well as genetic mutant creatures. Highly recommend

And the art is made by Keith Thompson. It looks so damn cool. Him and Rozalski have the most lit dieselpunk mechs. Ps, in the third book of Leviathan series Nikola Tesla appears

@@europanzer3929 not exactly. Germans and their countries use mechs while England the Allied countries (forgot their WWI name) use specialised mutants. Like the main story happens on board flying whale zeppelin.

Oh my God. I can't wait for the mod that adds snowball throwing kids to the actual battles.

In this universe's future, I am 100% certain that Sabaton would be writing songs about these mechs

I just got that the bear's name is an actual ww2 reference. A polish infantry unit adopted a bear cub from a circus and used it to haul ammo for them.

The voice lines in this game remind me of Metro Exodus's voice lines.

"Hey honey!" That line just killed me . The writing of this game is enough to get me to buy this right now

Lol, "Janek Kos" (from the tutorial)... It's a nod to an old (OLD) Polish TV series, English title being "Four Tank-Men and a Dog" - the de facto leader of the tank squad was Janek Kos. Also, of course Anna's bear HAD TO be named Wojtek. It's a direct reference to Wojtek (Voytek) - a bear in the care of Polish artillery regiment during WWII.

Oh thank Kane that the RTS drought may finally be ending. Oh, and Earthbreakers exists so we also have a Spiritual Successor to Command and Conquer Renegade so that good too.

3:15 is such a cool shoot, that damn light mech cycling a gigantic bolt handle on a giant rifle. 13:23 Wow Zubov is an A class classic Disney villain. 14:59 anyone know what the song plays there? It sounds really good.

My. This really reminds me of Scott Westerfeld's "Leviathan" trilogy. The Clankers mechs in WW1/ 1920s style is just awesome.

This isnt like scythe, it literally is scythe. That's one of the factions, she becomes a real leader with an actual bear. I love Scythe

The greatest thing I can see in this game is how well some of them actually pronouncing the german Scientist's name

I like how you say “Oh he just walks off...” right as his jet pack starts.....and then an ad cutting u off.

The best is like Wojtec the bear actually existed and he was in the polish army and behaved like a normal person XD

Wow, I must say, I'm impressed by the campaign. I tried this game a while back, when only skirmishes were available and didn't like it that much. That said, in RTS games I usually play only the campaign, not the skirmishes so it's no suprise I didn't like them. This video showed me that this game can still win me over.

This game has come a long way, I was originally really hyped years back and over time it faded. Starting to feel that hype rising again, looking forward to this. A little disappointed the enemy general guy didn't pretend her father was just behind the wall waving to her like Buzz's severed arm in Toy Story.

I love the fact that they actually hired polish voice actors

Well, if there is anything RTS games taught us, it's that best offence is a good defence.

The storytelling and voice acting is fantastic. So much energy and passion.

Fun fact: Railroad Canon is a real life thing. It was created in Peru by Polish engineer, Ernest Malinowski in 1860s and it was made to shoot at Spanish ships during the war. Of course it wasnt as dope as in the game

@@totalvvar well not really it seems to make things diffrent in 1920 that the author fused some countries such as the nordic kingdoms likely being norway sweden and finland as one country so the empire of saxony is likely saxony prussia etc etc i do wonder if the north americas exist in this universe obviously america wouldnt be involved but id love to know the usa alternate universe name
