Thomas, was stationed in Japan back in the '80s and do enjoy a fair amount of Japanese music, but I just became aware of these guys a couple of days ago. How did you become aware of them?

"-Chan(ちゃん)" is a nickname often given at the end of the name in Japanese (others include -san, -kun, etc.) “Aniki (big-brother/兄貴)” is often used as a title of a man with a dignified appearance. By the way, in the case of women, it is often called "anego (big-sister/姉御)". I'm worried that it can be explained well, but it is such a nuance

@@re.aligned Yes but driving 16hrs and paying for a whole festival to see one band isn't really an option for me right now. That's why we need a tour here.

I'm looking forward to handbanging and yelling "ANIKI"!!! They are playing SXSW in February or March, whenever it is. Hopefully that opens the doors for more NA shows in the future.

They seem to actually understand english quite well enough (yes I know the interviewer is doing quick english-japanese transitions to give them a heads up but it seems to just be a summary) and it's not all rehearsed and recited. It makes me wonder... I get the impression, if we would present them with questions that are dealt with a non-complicated, non-convoluted answer, they would be totally be down for conversation with fans.
