The new armor is taken from Apollyon, so that's why it looks weird on LB. The lore is that she took her armor from a LB and reforged it to fit her, where in game wise, they took it from Apollyon and made it for the LB. So that might explain its odd appearance

Holy shit this is the most likes ive gotten
it's possible that at this stage of the war which is over 20 years already, the resources to support the frontlines would start to dwindle and, by my assumption, the warriors become scavengers, notably because when you find armor and weapons in the game you are told that you found them on the aftermath of the battlefield I would expect that the warriors have not received any proper education on sustaining their gear which would explain why there is so much rust on most of their armor
@russian_knight

Assuming you find armor off corpses, that'd make lots of sense actually and explains why higher rep armor is better quality, because you're rising in rank and can afford better gear

Another great vid Dani boi been waiting on this one
Happy to learn about my main man lawnro, keep up the good work!
The leg protection is something I've had come up from time to time when looking over armor in anime-styled games. It's *extremely* common for them to have virtually no armor beyond faulds (and those are often relegated to buttplate or tiny hip guards) from between the knees to the diaphragm, but I've frequently had people tell me that thigh protection, maile skirts, armored kilts, etc. are perfectly normal to not have at all. As mentioned in your Warden video, there were maile suits split in the middle for riders and the people I speak to about usually reference cavalry armor. The characters I'm talking about typically have far bigger issues, but that lack of thigh protection seems to be an exceedingly common thing in video game armor, even ones with a touch of realism. It's an odd thing and I'm constantly wondering if it has any basis.
.....I just saw that you have only 1k subs...... I legit stared at the number for at least two minutes. How do you now have more subs?! Your content is awesome!

I believe there is a rendition of the helmet seen at 2:58 worn by gladiator, except the breaths are filled in with a sort of mesh.
late armets have the leather strapping exposed across the back of the helmet and they are protected by a separate disk (rondel) piece.

This was amazing m8
My favorite thing about these videos is that you actually play the game so you actually know what kinda stuff to look at, lots of people who do similar things see a stance and because there knee isn't a degree less bent they freak the fuck out and don't look further
Before Warmonger, there was only 1 single armor style in the entire Knightfaction (it was for Lawbringer but came out a bit later) that actually covered the upper leg in any way
I think it makes sence for the pauldrons to be that big, considering the proper paudrons are underneath, sure the big pauldrons are basically useless, but the weakness is covered up by the underneath pauldrons, thus making the bigger ones just used for intimidation, and not for actual usefulness.
In my opinion the rust kinda plays into the story like when the world gets basically completely messed up it’s kinda hard to clean armor

When you taking off your helmet and bunch of viking and samurai suddenly rush B your base
Lawbringer is just a possessed suit of armor!
Is historical hip armour's position the same with this one? Don't they protect the front rather than sides?
3:05 For me anything that looks so well decorated, with no sign of wear and tear that proves it's bern through combat. It's definitely a household decoration and for parade purposes.
Change the armor metal to get rid of rusty look. Bronze works great. First time watching but you got yourself a subscriber
Having eyeslits/ventilation doesn't compromise too much, it gives better vision while still giving a ridiculous amount of protection. Otherwise you run into the same problem as the Dheneb, where you have insane coverage but little sight.
Those pauldrons are levitating. Do you think weight can do anything to a knight that can use magic?
can someone time stamp the most realistic/ viable armors?
I'm very late but what's the movie at 9:16?
6:17, technically, pikes are still used a lot to protect the gunmen from cavalry charge. While gunpowder renders medieval type fortification obsolete (wooden and stone walls), the open field strategy largely remains the same, only with archers being replaced by gunpowder weapons which was very inaccurate and took long to reload up to the 17th century. A cavalry can keep their distance and swoop in at the opportune moment to wipe out the gunmen, unless pikemen are guarding the gunmen. The formation was called pike and shot formation. Also swords were still in use on battlefield by infantry although only on special occasions. The german landsknecht would use the zweinhander, but i think this is only used by select few.
at 14:12 how do you spell that phrase?
I think that lb's armor is closer to that of 15th century armor like German gothic and white Italian styles. LB's Dheneb variant helmets look like sallets to me with different visors.
5:26 remember when you said the pauldrons looked to be floating on Warden, Dani? ***those*** are floating.
yo im pretty slow what is the most accurate armor
He dont see. Justice is blind you know.
What movie was that
They could weld in the 16th century?
Bro how do you not have more subs
I think you should say the time of the armor
El Lawbringer diria que es un tercio español o piquero suizo ya que es muy similar tanto en armadura como en arma
Those knights with early guns embody “parry this you fucking casual”
Can you do A Samurai hero next or will you finish the rest of the Knights before touching the other factions?
@GoGoDani
4 жыл бұрын
I would like to focus on the Knights because that is European history is the vast majority of my knowledge, but the Samurai faction is something I am interested in doing (specifically Kensei or Orochi). When I have the time to start the next analysis, I will see if I can set up a poll or something to see what people want, but odds are it's going to be Conq or PK for the next video.
Why the hell I am watching this I stopped playing for honor 3 fucking years ago but why the hell do I like this so much
As am sure you are aware, they added a new helmet for lawbringer that’s basically just an Armet helm.
1:05 we no longer have that problem with the chimera sets
In the german version his name is "Henker" which is german for executioner.
Are... are you saying Calvary instead of cavalry? Love the videos but that was getting to me lmao
9:22 Blackwall? Warden Blackwall?!
No one gonna talk about how the Zelos and Voidcage are the same goddamn helmet
Why does the armor look so used. Would be much better with clean new armor
I'm an lb main and yes, I can confirm you don't see anything. Also one of his newer chest armors has full chainmail and leg protection.
For me lawbringer's helmet it's more like an italian sallet with a strange flat visor
Can't see u see in that thing? Me: I just wanna look cool...
I disagree on calling the helmets burgonets, the visor looks like one, but the skull makes it quite clearly a sallet, closest visually would be a bellows sallet

Lastly, capes! Late medieval to rennaicance Condotierri actually wore capes. The Condotierri, as i understand it, were no knights by title usually, but people who were "rich enough to look like one"
The lawbringers don’t need sight because they can smell the *heresy* of their opponents
I think his helmets are (for the most part) sallets
I wish LB had armet helmets 😔
Justice is Blind.
Capes actually have practical use, a weapon would have to be razor sharp in order to cut through a loose hanging piece of fabric
mascot masks have litteraly smaller holes too see through, than lawbringer
Fun fact, lawbringer is 7 feet tall
It looks cool tho
It isnt a suit of armour, the correct way of saying it is a harness of armour
Personally I like the Darosh helmet
This is 11th century not 16th
I think lawbringer should have an entire set of plate armour with no colors

@averageeughenjoyer6429 well I mean I guess but the lawbringer wasn't a soldier you'd send out on foot in real world application. His Armour is too heavy too walk on foot for miles upon miles. His weapon is designed for long reaching and wide sweeping attacks. You can say he isn't a jouster in the game, but the real world is much more technical and much more has to be thought about.
