Who needs all these special effects when you can create something as basic as this, just brilliantly acted and a storyline that’s just brilliant
These classic actors didn't need 6 pack muscles or bulging biceps, their mere presence was sufficient for the screen to be illuminated. Today's actors most probably have all the muscles in the right place, but can hardly make an impact like these actors did...

True. Watched Clint, Lee and Eli since 1970, I was 14yrs then, till now 66 I never tire.
I recorded the trilogy off the TV in the mid 80s, bought the VHS box set in 1989, the DVD box set in 2006. I have watched this film hundreds of times and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly well over a thousand times. These films never get old. The music and the cinematography transport you to a fantastical reality. True masterpieces.
How do the baddies stay on the wagon at the end? Always gets me haha!! Great westerns with Clint never get tired of watching…. Nothing nowadays compares to these and one or two others of the period 60’s-70’s…magic

You seem to have forgotten Bronco Billy!! 😂😂🤣
Definitely , the most underrated western film !!! That's was the number one ever and forever , Lee van cleaf and Eastwood , remarkable picture without a doubt a masterpiece !!!
For a Few Dollars More...where the good guys turn out to be bad, and the bad guys even worse. This grisly tale smells like a sweaty armpit. The casting is excellent. Even the 2nd tier and the extras are complimentary. You could be watching a true story. The sets, the props, cinematography are exceptional. Finally, the music is without a doubt perfectly suited. This is a western done right by Italians.
Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone are simply masters and genius. The dollars trilogy is one of the greatest trilogies in the history of cinema.
My favourite line- "I generally smoke just after I eat. Why don't you come back in about 10 minutes" 🤣😂
Lee Van Cleef was really a legend. He was whole of cinema not simply and merely an actor. My late father used to call him Nose Pulling actor.
Recapping on all the old westerns from a grown up perspective. Studying it instead of just watching it.... legendary. The soundtrack is absolutely spectacular
These movies are absolute masterpieces... you just can not make movies this good anymore I've seen them all a hundred times, still every time these movies capture my attention how can anyone top that
Grew up watching these sort of movies back in the 80s, Brilliant .
quite simply put the best western trilogy out there. This and The Sabata Trilogy are my favourite Italian westerns. Strange how the Spaghetti westerns made stars of people like lee van cleef who got more respect in europe than his own country as an actor.
This has gotta be the bestest cowboy film ever. The last ten minutes of the film are electrifying !!!
The acting is superb (of course). And… Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone…what a film-making duo. Geniuses.

@@purushothamanganapathy6524 Yes, I can see why watching this scene again and again can be rewarding. There is so much going on... Humour, tension, brilliant acting, Morricone's music using a tuba, the twitch, the itching to draw a pistol, absolute instinct in pulling a pistol and being stopped suddenly, the synchronised match scratching between Monco and Mortimer, the frightened barman ducking down, Monco smoking and smiling, the close ups of Indio's gang also powerless to deal with Mortimer's insulting affront, and all achieved without a single word of dialogue until the gang walk out. Brilliant.
An amazing movie, made in 1965, so almost 60 years old. One that launched the Spaghetti Westerns as as genre of films. Very atmospheric production and great music.

The Director - Sergio Leone is the Master in control and has created a Masterpiece. The camera loves Clint Eastwood and he knew what he was doing. He knew how to control a scene, literally with his presence. His cool is overwhelming. No other director could do what Sergio Leone has done. These Films are his Babies, for our satisfaction. Absolutely yes, and add Leone, Kinski and the great Gian Maria Volonté El Indio, one of the greatest Italian actors ever
It's always a feast to see Clint Eastwood's movies, watched almost 10 times but still feels like to watch over n again, what a movie..
Barnstorming movie, as with all the dollar trilogy. Van Cleef is excellent. These movies spawned a trend that produced some excellent spaghetti westerns. Once upon a time in the West being a prime example. And of course the hillarious spoofs including the Trinity collection.
All time classic western and the best of the triology. RIP Lee Van Cleef RIP Ennio Morricone.
this movie can be watched indefinitely because for the entirity of the film, you know you have THE greatest scene in movie history to look forward to! "now we start"...chills
There's the music! There's the 3 amigos! Clint Eastwood, Lee van Cleef, Sergio Leone! Great 3!!! Great acting! Great cast! Great western! Thank you for this great movie! 😊
Class from beginning to end with some of the most iconic scenes in movie history.
Clint Eastwood is the best. Always. Never seen better in my lifetime. Ace of western.
A Big Thanks for showing an Absolute All Time Classic, Great.
Thank you. Saw this in Italy when it was first released. Always love these as does everyone else.
Gian Volante- so perfect for these roles. That face. The humming and whistling at the start, where the rider is gunned down- I say it's Colonel Mortimer (Lee van Cleef) bringing down another wanted crim. He does this so well. Awesome soundtrack from Ennio Morricone, as usual.
Thank you for this excellent post. 50 plus years later still being watched, still original, still the best!
Even my 5 year old daughter has watched both movies dozens of times over and over again. That just sums up it all up and i first saw the movies over 50 years ago . They are legends.

So let me get this right...you let your 5-year old daughter repeatedly watch a film that is rated 15 minimum, X maximum? Great parenting...

THE TRILOGY is still the best of Clint Eastwood( even that he dislike them he said in an intervieuw) !!! John Wayne is the " Duke", but Clint is an another " Duke" today !!! L.M.
Gian Maria Volonte was a very underrated actor. One of the best in the world. I don't think he's got all the credit he deserved.

One of the greatest actors ever, his magnetic presence is amazing in so many leading roles: Investigation of a citizen above suspicion, The working class goes to heaven, We still kill the old way, Todo modo, Sacco & Vanzetti, Open Doors...

Yes. He did a fine role here.
Now I understand why I waste so much time trying to find good westerns........when you watch the benchmark classic, it is just to tough too match, well another Friday morning in the U.A. E. with this great epic... I wish all Clint's Movies where on YT.
Great film, the scene of Lee Van Cleef striking a match on the back of a complete psycho, is one of my favorite and funniest film scenes ever, 'talk about powder keg tension' absolutely genius film direction.

Yeah and I love the dual they have later on.
Eastwood Van Cleef and more sweaty testosterone than a stud farm. One of the very best.
Wow, how has this not been taken down? Clear 720p and it isn’t slowed down, there’s no ads or nothing. It’s been up for 4 years.

Absolute MASTER CLASS ..... Today when the film industry is so much technically advanced still they never make any film like this.... Photography Story Acting Music and Total Filming is such a High Level that only a True Artist can do that... Hats off to all the Artist and The entire Unit of this FILM.

This is a comment for my grandad he watched every single one of these till the age of 85
The two best western stars in the same movie.
I purchased a 70 acre property in an isolated remote outback town in Western NSW, Australia and named the property Tucamcari. Because it has so much characteristics like the environment of the actual town in the movie.

Sorry for Van Cleef having cancer and dying from heart attack after smoking so much. He was dead on age 64. R.i.p.

We all know and love Eastwood, but let's also appreciate the badass-motherfuckery of Cleef; no better actor for Douglass Mortimer.
