    Gabriel don't want to criticize you, but at 2:41 in my opinion the front food should land on the ball of the foot and not on the heel, when stepping forward. My former box trainer taught me so...

    Hello Champ. Thank you for this amazing content. I'd like to ask about this lesson. Where is your body weight during side stepping? Always between legs or if you go left, your weight is mostly on right leg? I've always had it between but maybe it's not that explosive?

  • @lavabender_taku

    @lavabender_taku

    2 жыл бұрын

    I've got a taekwondo and karate background so I can answer this. When side-stepping towards the left, most of the body weight is in the back leg. Just like if you're side stepping to the right, the body weight will be on the front leg. This is explosiveness being put to work. I hope I explained that clearly.

  • @CoachKyleZ

    @CoachKyleZ

    When stepping, your bodyweight shifts from the standing leg to the moving leg then rebalances to your fighting stance. In the video Gabriel steps, resets, then throws. You can throw on the transition or step, but combos usually require 50/50 balance. Usually, not always.

    Quick question: do you explode via your rear leg when moving forward? I feel like rather than a step forward with your lead leg, you are exploding with your rear leg to move forward. Correct me if I am wrong.
