This should be a basic concept. We all have to get instruction from a qualified structural engineer for the Architectural drawing. The strength of the concrete will depend on the country to country. Standard norms are ok. It may be changed in practical conditions. Quality of mixing water, Quality of the different types of steel rods with different manufacturers, Soil conditions wind force, and weather conditions. Appreciate the presentation

Civil engineers now have software to plan which size of footing and the size & number of steel bars to use. I have a renovation now in my two story house, I used 1x1 size of footing and depth for additional colons using 6 16mm and 2 12mm steel bars for colon, my structural engineer said that’s still too weak that the house might collapse because they base on the civil engineering software computations.

Sir, is it possible you make a chart or a table for all the requirements for beams and columns, their size, spacing, steel dia, number of steel bars, size of footing, type of footing, depth of footing, sbc, conc grade etc.. for domestic and commercial buildings from G+1 up to G+10? It will be very helpful and we will appreciate.

I advise all of you to get professional civil engineers on your projects, so many factors come into play in footing design, there are NO standard footing details everything depends on that particular project, it can end up being catastrophic In the long run if you design footings yourself without engineering knowledge.

Great videos ! In Belize, for a 12 by 12 inches columns, they all place 3/8`` ties. Should it be a problem? Same space between ties? The 150 mm space between ties at the top and bottom, is this about the top 1/3 of the column and bottom 1/3 of the column?
