@@pawelfafara189 That’s an argument to be had. In football, there’s always been a “the contemporary players are the better than the past”, which I don’t think is true. I think after the mid to late 80s, in terms of ability and prowess as a footballer it’s about the same from then on with variations ofc. it’s faster today, that’s for sure, and there exist timeless or game changing players throughout its history ofc. In case of Neuer, he really did revolutionize the sweeper-keeper and he just recently exceeded Kahn’s clean sheet record, so you may be right. To me in the argument of being the world’s best keeper to ever play we’re between: Gordon Banks, Peter Schmeichel, Oliver Kahn and Neuer went from creeping his way, into definitely a part of the conversation, and he may be beating Kahn as you suggest. I think Kahn and Schmeichel is about neck and neck, and if he is that’s a good thing! Records are meant to be broken. I think once he retires, and some time has gone by, one may get a clearer view of it.
