Yeah, the longhair doxies have that. Groomers trim it all out; they even remove the little wispy things on the top of the paw you showed. I liked it on my dog, so I never trimmed it. I thought it was cute. I mean, wanted a D-O-G, not O.C.D. 🤣

@@DebbiesAdventures It did with my dog, big time. He was a New England boy, so it kept his little digits insulated when he had to go out in the snow. And it helped on hot sidewalks hugely. Actually, that was the best benefit - insulated him from hot pavement and cement.

The Fingerpads are such a pain to trim, but it definitely needs done, maybe get a dog groomer. Maybe you could even Colab with the woman that runs a groomer business and a KZread channel.

He lets me handle his feet usually with no problem. I think I can trim them myself. If I decide to, some people are telling me it protects their paws from hot pavements. I don’t know I’ll see how it goes👍😂

Be careful if you've never trimmed paw pads before. some dogs have webbing between the toes so try not to trim too deep between the smaller toes.and I don't recommend sissors.
