04:00 isnt it that way that active player rolled 0, he chooses a number he wishes and then ALL players must benefit the same number as he chosen? or each player chooses their numbers??

Be watching out for Sheldon Cooper to come knock, knock, knocking on your door for your lack of flag knowledge, Tim. :p Italy's flag looks exactly like the Mexican flag without that center emblem, which is probably why they don't have it in the game (or didn't see it when you showed the ones you didn't use) as that would be confusing. I think it was Russian that was horizontal (white/red/blue) or the Netherlands (red/white/blue) from top to bottom. The one you were saying was Italian is French. The game looks fun as all get out though. Granted, that could be reskinned to a lot of things as I agree that the theme is a little pasted on as you're focusing on stars and flags. I'd almost prefer if they did a more complex version where you had Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Dessert, and they had to connect sequentially with Dessert as a wild.

I don't think it's fair that when you roll a "0" the other players can activate a space of their own choosing as well. I think the other players should either just get 1 coin or it should activate whatever numbered space the player whose turn it is chooses. The latter option would potentially add another element of strategy to their turn. They may choose to activate a less attractive number on their own board so as not to help out another player with a better stall on that same number. Just my own initial thoughts. I haven't played the game yet.

It looks like you've reviewed two of the games I was most excited about. Hadara and now Foodies! It looks like Foodies is something I would enjoy more than Machi Koro Legacy or Space Base.

I actually don't care for either Space Base nor Machi Koro

Makes it an easy buy then. Don't own any food themed games and this seems like a good one.

Looks fun and quick. But it feels like the theme doesn't really integrate with the game mechanics at all. Reminds me of Viceroy in that respect, but without the learning curve.

So, I disagree a bit here. I think it's supposed to represent face paced food service and with a game that ends in around 20 minutes, I think it represents that well. However, thats just a theory I've convinced myself of. :D

@@Greyelephantfamily I just feel like it could have been more... maybe like building a full course meal by collecting an appetizer, salad, soup, main dish, etc. The game mechanically only cares about cards adjacent to each other and sometimes if there are cards of the same nation (which just boils down to a card's 'suit').
