Mexico City Vlog: Mexico City travel is NOTHING like I expected. I was to experience the DF during a layover in Mexico City. It isn't a twin sister of Chicago, but it's definitely in the family. After a few minutes in the capital, you'll quickly see the resemblance:
* Beautiful, vibrant people
* Irresistible Street markets
* A gangster reputation, just dangerous enough to scare away some
* Another similarity is the food, one of the most amazing culinary scenes in the world.
This last point is really why I'm here. We've been in Mexico for a week, but in the Yucatán- that peninsula has its own unique cuisine and culture. Frankly, I haven't had a great taco since I got here. Mexico City is going to fix that for me. I hope.

Indeed, Mexican Food is one of four world foods, "Heritage of Humanity", per Unesco (UN/ONU). The other three--French, Mediterranean, and Japanese. Our foods are from our original Mexican people in our lands.

It's just magical lol no, it's made from scratch and years of experience... I'm from Mexico City and my mom who cooks fantastic cannot get the same taste down exactly and she doesn't know why so it must be unique ingredients or magic ✨✨

I've been to Mex City 8X. Only once before boarding to go back to Houston I got the patdown. Other tan that, you don't have to take your shoes off. Houston a.p. is a hassle. I enjoyed Coyoacan, Coapa and Zona Rosa.

Esperan que los secuestre una banda de narcos y los vendan como esclavos en Corea del Norte. Creen que los tacos saben a tierra y piedras o que comemos insectos vivos. Están convencidos que mental y físicamente vivimos en 1943 llevado serenatas a medio mundo...
