I tried listening to doctors and health professionals to figure out a few problems I had and was always suggested eat more vegetables grains and add more fiber to my diet and the problems I had would get better. Turns out everything I listen to them and did made my problems worse so eventually I just decided to try the opposite of what they were telling me cut everything out of my diet except for meat which they told me was the problem with my diet in the fact that I was eating too much meat and not enough of everything else. It turns out eating only meat for just over a month cut down on about half of my problems I kept eating meat only for 2 years mostly raw meat never had a problem. Now that I'm working a lot more than I was at the time it's more convenient for me to stop at fast food places and stuff like that and I started gaining a few of my problems back just by adding bread back into my diet. I can eat about a pound to a pound and a half of fatty meat a day and sustain a healthy body weight and plenty of energy, whereas when I was eating all different types of food I was eating five or six times a day and probably about 10 times the volume of food just to keep my energy up. I simply eat a small amount of raw liver and beef heart a couple times a week and that seems to give me all the vitamins and minerals I need. I'll also eat fruit from time to time but not a lot I'll maybe have some grapes, some cactus fruit, an apple or a pear once or twice a month at most. It seems my body does much better with zero fiber grains or vegetables. Some of us just have different digestive systems than others I guess and it's a shame that doctors who study the human body for some reason aren't allowed or just can't seem to admit that. Doctors that I talk to after years of an all-meat diet said I shouldn't be as healthy as I am and the only problem I had with blood tests was slightly high LDL and by slightly high I mean a few points and they wanted me to change my diet to try to lower that which I think is completely ridiculous because on different diets you're going to have slight variations in baseline blood levels and being off by a few points on one thing is hardly anything to worry about in my opinion but I'm no doctor so what do I know? LOL.

I have to disagree with your take on his use of the scale. He brought it up in the context of monitoring your health, not setting goals or ideals, and I think that regardless of genetics sudden weight gain or loss is a worrying issue that would necessitate a look at your diet if not a trip to the doctor.

That is fair. Any sudden weight loss or gain is concerning and should be addressed. But scale obsession and orthopedic tendencies are extremely common given societal emphasis on weight. And people with these tendencies who see a sudden drop in weight interpret that as a positive thing, not an alarm. I'm advocating for alternative measurements for those people, since I've been there. Using scales works for many people, and if that's you, then that's fantastic! I just want to open a dialogue for those who would be better served by ditching the scale and using something else.

A lot of this felt really gas lighting. The process of government producing a pyramid that allowed industries to indicate and influence what it included and then marketed out is rough. Looking back at videos from the 60's and 70's it is rare to see obesity.

Thank you for the scale comment I have been ridiculed, mocked and torn down. I've had teachers in highschool ask if I was anorexic when ever they made us do a weigh in as I am naturally low weight and have struggled trying to force myself to eat growing up to gain what I was told is a health y weight making myself ill
