This is fantastic for learning! Not saying the English word is high-class learning! Going fast? Not a problem. It is fast learning. Repeat a few times and it is slow )))

Я голоден. Как по мне, звучит не правильно. Нужно говорить - Я голодный. "Я голоден" ты можешь сказать себе, но не другим. Lol in english translate :) I'm hungry. Sounds wrong to me. Need to say - I'm hungry. "I am hungry" you can tell yourself, but not others.

Еще клевее - сказать "Я хочу есть". Вот это будет по-нашему.

обед does mean lunch, but обед is often translated to dinner. It depends on local context. обед translates to dinner for those people who eat their main meal during the day, and have supper in the evening.

Name of a meal can not conclude on personal basis...those who eat or not?? its very clear as I studied Lunch is обед...its wrong teaching and you have broke your own logic on your own video at 01.03Min. check on that. check where ever you want Google translate, Russian cuisine Wikipedia, all teachers around the world. basically Lunch is обед and we can not break down things personal wise the way you want.

I'm sorry but we respectfully disagree with you last comments. All translation is cultural and contextual. If you need an authority on this try the Cambridge or Oxford English-Russian dictionaries. "dinner: обед, ужин" (Cambridge). The English word "dinner" means "The main meal of the day, taken either around midday or in the evening." (Oxford). It is traditional in Russia to have the main meal around midday or early afternoon, which is why many Russians commonly translate 'обед' to 'dinner'. (and 'ужин' to 'supper') It is also correct to translate to 'обед' to 'lunch' (and 'ужин' to 'dinner''). 'Lunch' is the correct translation of 'обед' if it is not the main meal of the day. Great but...IT GOES FAR TO FAST !!! If you are trying to learn a new language, you need some time to let it come in....Here is no time to look at the sentence or what so ever... Great, however : not perfect !!
