great update. One of my hives swarmed a couple of weeks ago. Managed to catch it and create another hive. The one they cam from got a bit nasty though.

Haha, buggers aren't they, I nearly went on my roof to catch them unprotected 😆 thank god I didn't as the swarm really went for me. They're settled now in the long hive ❤️ 😍

I feed every 2 hours day and night, this seems to also feed the filter evenly, so there are no amonia spikes😀 so they get little and often, but the feeder is also set for smaller feeds through the night, with heavier feeds during the day, plus some hand feeds three times a day, morning, midday and evening😀

Hey I think this is another key to the puzzle if the feeder can manage. Mine does 30g per feed so max i can push to this year is around 10x /300g. But would split that to x15 if i could! Might treat myself to the jbl pro feeder this year! What feeder you got? Cheers

@@KoiKicks I have the “fish” feeder similar to yours, but I think it does more feeds, with a choice of feed quantity

PP isn't indecrimate in killing organics including biological bacteria but I isolated my bio filters. Mine in simply the filters building in line with load/food going in. Up to 120 gram per day now. Cheers

In Japan, no one keeps fish with such figures in mind. It's also a custom of tropical fish that doesn't fit in with us. Believe me, it is! If we focus more on improving the swimming and feeding behaviour of KOI, the water will be purified. That's the basic principle of KOI keeping.

@@KoiKicks There was just one good example. He is the standard of the prevailing Japanese mindset. Try translating it with auto-generation. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aqF1rdCrotiompc.html&t We don't care whether there is ammonia or not. Our main concern is how they swim or behave themselves.
